"If I could give zero stars, I absolutely would. The chicken tenders were overcooked and dry, and the fries were soggy. The marinara sauce for the mozzarella sticks tasted more like tomato soup than anything else. The homemade honey mustard sauce was odd and quite unappetizing."

"I recently had my first visit to this restaurant. When I arrived, a woman directed me to order from the menu displayed on the wall. I chose a chicken cutlet wedge, which was listed for $9.95. However, when I received my bill, I was surprised to see a charge of $12.95. I brought this issue to the owner's attention, and instead of addressing my concern directly, she began discussing politics, the economy, and how Covid has impacted their pricing. I expressed my disappointment, noting that it was misleading to advertise certain prices and then charge more. The owner explained that updating the menu was too costly. Unfortunately, this left me with a negative impression of the place. Paying $13 for a chicken cutlet sandwich feels like one of the highest prices in town."

How lazy do you have to be to not alert the dining public that your operation is closed, has changed its hours/days open, etc? "I also ordered a sausage hero and called ahead to ask if they included sauce on the sandwich. They assured me it would be on the side, which was perfect since I didn’t want any. But to my surprise, they added the sauce anyway. On top of that, the bread was so hard that it could have cracked a tooth. When I received my food, the container and receipt were stained with tomato sauce, and it wasn’t packed properly. How could they not seal my order? Customers need to feel secure that their food hasn’t been tampered with, especially with food spilling out of the packaging. The only thing that looked decent were the zeppolis, but I didn’t want to risk eating them after everything that happened. I was really upset because I was starving and ended up having to settle for a can of soup."

"It was our first time at Jamieson's and we were here for the 5lb Burger Challenge. I was doing the challenge, and my family came along to watch. The staff was really into it and really paid attention to what my wife and son needed. The good really was great, even though I did not complete the challenge. I'll definitely be going back to check out the great beer list and the unique Irish inspired dishes. My wife did have the Scotch Eggs and Irish poutine and said they were great. I was so stuffed that I could only take her word for it. :"

"For me, at like 10pm on a Monday night, this is a late-night go to! After doing the Edge 1,271 ft City Climb and then drinking at some bar for a while, I came here quite hungry. The Philly Cheesesteak really hit the spot! Big menu with enough variety to please everyone. The Red Velvet cake was also great! Fun and friendly service. Great location. Fantastic!"

"My son and I ate at HW's for the first time after an Illinois football game. The food, we both had the 14 oz. ribeye, was very good. Cooked perfectly. My son had the lobster bisque soup and I the house salad with blue cheese crumbles. Both excellent. Along with the steak, I had the crispy potatoes croquettes. Also very good. So, the meals were very good, the ambiance was very good, but what really stood out was the service, outstanding. I couldn't give HW's an outstanding across the board as they aren't quite up to the same standards as a Morton's or The Capital Grille. However, HW's is fine dining and well worth the price."

"This place was found because of the great reviews, but was painfully disappointed! The quality of the food was good, but it was lacking in taste and very badly paired. I ordered a seafood Bouillabaisse, which was good, but the lack of bread, or the offer of something more from the waiter was disappointing. My wife ordered the lamb lantern and it came very rare what is good, but at least ask how you cooked your meat so you don't have to send it back and watch your husband wait while his food gets cold! And the kicker didn't season her meal. Desert was a great disappointment and seemed to be out of a box, and the whipped cream was also tasteless! For the amount of money spent and the amazing location I expected an unforgettable meal. Our waiter didn't even ask how our meal was or even offered us a drink when we left the empty glasses in clear eyes, I don't think I'll go back!"

"We ordered the lobster and New York steak at the restaurant. Unfortunately, the first steak we received was overcooked and tasted like beef jerky. However, the server was excellent and promptly got us a replacement. The second steak was cooked properly but was nothing special, just like something you would find at a diner. The scalloped potatoes were delicious, and the bread at the beginning of the meal was the only thing that saved us from hunger. Overall, the food was not worth the high prices – we spent $140 on an appetizer, a meal, and two sodas. We don't think it was worth even a quarter of that price, and we won't be returning here for our next anniversary."

"I came here for the first time today for lunch. I got my selections from the All Day Fix Menu that only cost $19.99. For that price you get a first course, a second course and a dessert. Everything was great and the service I received was top notched. My waiter was so nice, friendly and attentive. "First time here with the band Whatever We Are, it’s like an English Pub, great music, two sides: one side has dim lighting and the bar and one where it could be for a family dinner near the kitchen. Seats are awesomely comfy. Bathroom is clean! Waitress is on point with refilling drinks, even hot drinks. Outfits are finesse. Great service overall!"

"we had a wonderful time in the oyster house of elliott! we have made an online booking for an outside table and were sitting shortly after the arrival. the outside seats are so prepared for the occasional bootshorn next to the argosy cruises. our server was fantastic and recommended to utter for us to try as it was our first time. for a few oysters newbies who only tried fried oysters, this was surprisingly delicious. the pesto manila clams with the brot was probably the best part of the meal. it was so good! we ordered the seafood cavatappi and the grilled scallops for entrees and both were delicious. as we celebrated a birthday, we got a free dessert and there was a card waiting for us when we arrived. there is a 20% service fee which is taxed on its bill. when they go on their website, it says that they don't have to tap on it, but our server has mentioned that the fee is distributed to all and each additional tipp will only go on the server. we decided to type the service fee because our server was so attentive and helpful. I wish that would be a bit clearer or taken away because it just seems strange. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant for anyone who celebrates a special occasion or splurgits something for some delicious seafood."

"Service was very poor. I ordered a Corona with a lime and salt on the neck of bottle. Some refer to it as fully loaded. Bartender was not aware so I kindly explained. When she brought the bottle it had literally 3 grains of salt. I pushed thru it as I wanted to see the Steelers game. As the game went on getting any follow up service was tough. It's interesting because I overheard her have a brief conversation with the table right next to me and asked them if they needed anything else. Had she taken 2 more steps to my table I mat have spent more money.... I tried to get the bartender attention a few times so I could close out my tab with no luck. So I went up to the bar to do it and after standing there for literally 2 minutes right in front of her as she was texting and never once looked up once. I finally said mam can I close out my tab. After I was done closing out my tab she went right back to using her phone with her back to her customers.... I think I may go somewhere else next time for the Steelers game"

"When I entered the restaurant, the hostesses were on their phones and it took a moment for them to acknowledge me. The biscuits were delicious and the reason I decided to dine here. The other dishes were just okay, and I didn't feel like I got my money's worth. The lobster was small and rubbery, some of the shrimp still had their veins, and the Cheddar Bay mushroom stuffing was disappointing. It sounded great with the shrimp, but it turned out to be a soggy mess that upset my stomach. The service was decent, nothing exceptional, but the server seemed tired as she was also the bartender. Shoutout to Alberta for her efforts! Overall, I would return but I would probably avoid ordering seafood next time."

"I would not at all recommend Wilfrid`s for their buffet brunch. While the cold buffet offers a few higher end choices, such as cold prawns, smoked salmon and fresh lettuce with its accoutrements, the mixed salads are nondescript and loaded with objectionable ingredients. The hot buffet is unimaginative, limited and in my experience at least, always dried up, unappetizing and overcooked, even when the buffet opens. Half empty selections are neither rearranged nor removed, there is a preponderance of either cheap cuts of beef, pork and other dishes which do not cater to traditional food restrictions, the fish is overdone and over spiced, and the so-called chef behind the counter is defensive and unhelpful. It is not possible to order an egg done the way you like it, the fresh fruit is tasteless and not ripe, there is no fresh squeezed juice or even semblance thereof, and the dessert table is uninspiring. On the positive front, the atmosphere is pleasant, though the chairs are so heavy that even a prize fighter would have trouble moving them in and out from the table. Depending on which server is assigned to your table, the service can be friendly, but even that is inconsistent, as the staff usually does not attend to the guests as they should, probably because it is a buffet. In short, use your hard earned dollars for an à la carte brunch somewhere else and possibly try this place for a drink and a snack."

"We have been regular customers at Red's 395 for quite some time, usually visiting for lunch when we come into Carson City monthly. We have always appreciated the atmosphere, service, and consistent quality of food at this restaurant. However, our recent experience on May 21st was extremely disappointing. One of our favorite hamburger selections was no longer available on the menu, and the item we ordered was not what we expected. The pulled pork sandwich, which we have always enjoyed, was lacking in quality. The bun was dry and hard, and the small container of sauce provided was not enough. While we understand the safety concerns that may have led to the removal of self-service bottles, we were disappointed by the limited sauce. Despite these issues, the service was as good as always. We hope that this was just a one-off experience and not indicative of a decline in quality at Red's 395."
