"I visited Croaker Spot for the first time last night, and I can confidently say it won't be my last visit. The food was absolutely phenomenal and very reasonably priced considering the generous portions. I even took home enough for two more meals! The staff were friendly and attentive, and despite the restaurant being packed, the service remained excellent. If you're looking for amazing seafood at a fantastic price, along with friendly service, I highly recommend Croaker Spot for a wonderful night out!"

"I have driven by this place for years!!! I'm mad I hadn't stopped in sooner. After reading they had been voted best burger, I finally gave it a try. I was disappointed. Definitely in my top 3!!! The meat to bun ratio was spot on. The patties weren't too thick or thin. Good flat top searing. I was impressed. The Mac n cheese and cakes were delicious too. I'll definitely be back to give the BBQ a try.!!"

"This is my second visit to this establishment. The first time, the food was actually pretty decent. It came within a timely manner and the food tasted okay. Today, I visited for the second time and it was a complete 180. The food was mediocre, they were out of condiments, and the wait time was outrageous. The staff seemed discombobulated and were all over the place. We went 20 minutes at a time without being seen by a waitress. The yams fries are good. But, today, we had hard substances in our yams which could not be explained by the staff. And no, it was not sugar. One of my friends that was with me did not like her fried chicken. When explained to the waitress, she didn?t seem to care, and asked ?can you describe what you didn?t like?. I?m not sure about y?all, but when I don?t like something..I just don?t like it lmao. I recommend the yams fries, I guess if you come at the right time?today was not the right time for us. Hit or miss place, I wish you all the best if you plan on attending this establishment."

"The order was over $100 for 3 adults and 2 kids. That being said ou oder should have been correct and if not then corrected however the Guy, at the register,who always seems to be there, said he was the manager but can only apologize for the problems. Being from Buffalo, that was not at all Buffalo style pizza, more like a slice from a NYC corner. There was very little cheese on the cheese only pizza, so we basically had dough and sauce. We ordered wings with 3 flavors, and 2/3 were incorrect. The mild we ordered was very hot (spicy). Still then. Sorry only. Never again. This guy was rude and very sarcastic. I kinda feel bad for him because he'll definitely catch the right person on the wrong day. My daughter said it seemed like special needs, but that's no excuse to be rude. Again, i wanted to support a pizzeria from my husband's hometown ,but not if i have to do with low quality food and bad attitudes."

"Oh my goodness! What can I say, this place is AMAZING with both food AND service!Came in with my elderly mother after finishing up some of the Galveston Historic homes tour, and just beat a line of bad storms. We used to come here to this location years ago when it was just called Olympia Grill, and we always knew we could get the best Greek food here, and seeking respite from the storms, we were in need of comfort food. Let me tell you we got EXACTLY what we were seeking, and special shout out to Michelle, our server! This lady's shining personality and infectious laughter was just delightful! She was so fun and lighthearted and truly made our expectations and experience top notch!I am SO GLAD we stopped here for dinner this evening!And to the back of the house, WELL DONE on the gyro meat that was perfectly seasoned, and the baklava is absolutely the BEST I have ever tasted! Not too sweet, not too syrupy, but spot on just right!If you are in Galveston, and looking for some delicious Greek/Mediterranean food, I urge you strongly to give this place a try! "Kara was our server and she was literally the most amazing server possible!!! We were a party of 11 (5 kids and 6 adults they made It happen! The moved tables, they organized and they welcome us! We had a fantastic evening thanks to the amazing foot and service. The 4 alarm Philly isn’t too spicy so it’s enjoyable for all my spicy eating friends! My kids had kids meal (chicken nuggets and hamburger. Portions were appropriate…we left satisfied and happy. This is a great family spot, a great hangout spot, a great spot!! A wonderful experience all around, from start to finish!"

"The restaurant offers a fantastic atmosphere with a beautiful view of the water and beach. There are many delicious options on the menu to explore. I visited with a group of five and we sampled the Nola burger, shrimp poboy, red beans and rice, boudin balls, and loaded fries. Everything tasted good, and the service was quick. I gave it four stars because some of the dishes we ordered were a bit bland. However, I would definitely return to try more items!"

"The atmosphere was beautiful. Waitress was very nice and friendly. My only complaint was we had to wait a while for our meal. (Which was fine; but after waiting the food was COLD. Not even warm; my husband French fries were warm. And he ordered an appetizer that was warm. Basically I didn’t feel like complaining so we asked for takeout trays and took our food home. "We visited this restaurant for lunch with the family for the first time, and overall, it was a pretty good experience. We were unaware that there was a game happening, so there were quite a few people, but we were seated right away and the food came out in no time. My husband and I ordered boneless wings; I wasn’t particularly fond of the dry rub, but my husband enjoyed it. The BBQ and Georgia peach flavors were quite tasty. The mac and cheese didn’t stand out, but the cheese curds were fantastic! The Parmesan they sprinkled on top was really good, so I will definitely have to try the garlic Parmesan boneless wings next time."

"This place is amazing. The food is fresh and cooked just for you. I always choose the steamed option. It is so good. One dinner plate can last me for two meals. Broken down, it is much cheaper than fast food and so so so much better. I always get the combo with steamed shrimp, flounder, corn, and potatoes. Very generous portions. The service is always outstanding. I never have to wait longer than 10 minutes to get my food.Parking: This is in a strip mall. "I 'll start by saying, I really want to like this restaurant. It is in a great location with ample parking and on the good side of town. The decor is beautiful. I came here the first time right after they opened and it was great! I brought a friend the second time over the summer, excited to share the experience. We ordered calamari and it had plastic in it.... We told the staff, no apology, only an excuse that it was cartilage. It was not cartilage... decided last night to give it another try. I ordered pasta primavera. The pasta was supposed to be fettuccine. It was so overcooked that my husband asked if they were Asian noodles (rice noodles). It appeared to have been boiled about 5 minutes too long and thrown into a bowl to sit. It was clumped together and mushy. I ate the sparsely placed vegetables around it. When asked if it was good, I explained my opinion about the noodles. I was told I 'll be sure to share that ... cool. So I paid 18 bucks for 7 veggies. No comp offer, no apology. So disappointing."

"My family and I had just came to Jacksonville and wanted to try some seafood in the area we looked on google and found this place. We walked in and asked the hostess in the front can we place a to-go order, she directed us to the bar where there was no place to stand or place an order. I asked for some menus so we can see what we would like to order, she then stated to me we can place an order at the bar in a rude tone. there was no place to stand so the hostess seated us at a table this was at 608pm, as I was placing my order with the hostess she rudely cut me off to help someone who had just walked in the door. I would hope that’s not how all customers are treated in this establishment, we placed our order and Paid for our meal. By 634 I asked the hostess the status of our order she goes to the back and comes back to us to state its almost done. By 708pm we have walked up to the bar to be treated just as rudely by the bartender when asked can we get assistance we were given “the one moment finger” to continue to be ignored. No one in the establishment even attempted to acknowledge if we had been helped. Another patron had to wave down the bartender after she noticed how long we were waiting, it was then the bartender lady came over only to acknowledge the lady that waved her down and not the two of us who had been standing there for quite some time. Bartender lady came over and stated I told them one moment, very rudely. We then had to advise her that we had already placed a to go order over an hour ago and would like our food. I haven’t got to the food. Fried green tomatoes were cold. Fries were a little soggy. Very disappointed in the service and the way me and my family were treated. We be telling everyone I know DO NOT GO TO SOUTHERN COAST SEAFOOD they do not know how to treat customers."

"Why should it matter if customers come in to eat rather than take out, especially when there were plenty of open tables? If your policy requires customers to be seated by a waitress, it would make sense to employ a host to greet customers at the door to prevent any confusion. I won’t be returning, and like another customer mentioned, I typically order from here because I’m often in the area. I prefer to spend my money where I'm welcomed. In response to the owner's comments, it’s understandable that a repeat customer would be upset when they’re interrupted while eating, especially when the restaurant isn’t full and several tables are vacant. Just because someone doesn’t see all the signs doesn’t mean they intended to place a takeout order. Your response indicates a lack of understanding and connection with your customers. Additionally, none of the staff ever seem to smile; they appear unhappy, which adds to the unpleasant experience. I appreciate that I wasn’t asked to leave after I had already purchased my meal and was quietly enjoying it when you interrupted me to say I had ordered takeout, despite my intention to dine in. I’m not the only customer who disagrees with this policy. Ultimately, you have the right to run your business as you choose, but it may not be the best approach."

"I would give this place less than one start if it was possible, my wife had dinner there last night and it was a horrible experience, she was seated with a group of friends when she felt something on her leg and she looked down and there was a cockroach crawling up her leg she brushed the side and screamed and literally jumped over the table no one else saw the cockroach and thought perhaps she was making the story up but a few minutes later the same thing happened to someone else and they were able to kill the cockroach at that point. They had the waiter come over and all he said was oh I guess it must've come through an open door but there was no door open and there was no apology or offer to buy their food or move them to another table he just acted like it was something that was a common occurrence. The final straw was the food was very substandard she had a shrimp dish which was very expensive and consisted of about four or five shrimp, it looked more like an appetizer than an actual meal, her final bill was $50 and she went away hungry. Finally I would just reiterate that the service was also incredibly poor the waiter asked for their food order and brought out their food before they brought any drinks even water to them and was very inattentive the entire time. THE EXPERIENCE WAS HORRIBLE FROM START TO FINISH, I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT TO ANYONE !!!!"
