"El Chevere Cuchifrito is a small Spanish eatery in East Harlem, serving up meat over rice platters and a variety of fried foods. it’s a small space with stools at a counter—no tables inside but they do have tables outside rn. the space is pretty clean. the hot prepared foods are on display through a glass display. didn’t see any menus so basically you need to ask how much everything is. there’s a $5 minimum on debit/credit.stopped here and wanted some quick bites to go. got some bacalitos and papas rellenas. was totally satisfied as those fried eats hit the spot. the fried codfish was season well and the batter was crispy and yet soft on the inside. the papas rellenas was really good—fried potato ball stuffed with tasty season ground beef. perfect amount of food when you get those afternoon hunger pangs. the papas rellenas and bacalitos were $2 each tip.service is fine"

"The Volteadito de pineapple out side pineapple cake was old and taste really bad. The Budín Bread Pudding taste old as well not very pleasant. And the chimis Chimi de Res Beef Chimi de Pollo Chicken Chimi they are sandwiches but not a Dominican chimi not happy with these order."

"I just had the pollo con tajadas, and it was incredible! My boyfriend is from Honduras, and this dish is the closest I've come to my mother-in-law's cooking. There was so much food that my meal ended up being two servings. I would highly recommend it to everyone, no doubt about it. I’m probably going to order it again tomorrow! 10/10!"

"We found this restaurant on google maps this morning and so happy we did! The place is very clean, super calm, and with amazing people running it. They have good prices for the delicious food they offer and they have good variety. The man that served was so kind and we even met the chef and she was just as kind as well. We felt very at home here and we really appreciated how calm it was after a hectic morning. We even took a couple business cards to share because we loved it so much. 10/10 recommend if you’re ever in Hialeah. We will be coming back!"

"The food was great. I was expecting a larger portion of steak based on the price I paid. The service was slower than I expected but we did have a group of seven people. The atmosphere was nice. I went there for lunch and a friend suggested I try the 8 oz steak. I wasn't impressed on the portion size and should have ordered the 1/2 lb burger. The steak was cooked to perfection. When the plate came to the table everyone laughed because the portion was so small. I like to get my money's worth. All and all I was pleased but for the price I paid I probably won't be going back. I'm going to stick with the Brazilian steakhouse I'm use to going to downtown ."

"Since the new owners took over, this place has been nothing short of amazing! We order from here almost every other day. They have also catered parties for us, and the food is absolutely delicious with mouthwatering flavors. The best part is their top-notch customer service.
