"Likely the most authentic tacos in the Triangle area. A bit off the beaten path and short on decor, it a a true rendition of the tacos we had at a roadside stand in Costa Maya, MX. Family owned and run. I finally got away from my taco habit and ordered the chili relleno, I asked for the spicy option. My Bride got the spinach enchiladas. Both of us had a beer (I had 2). Total, with tip was $35. Everything was great and the service was friendly and quick. Again, it is a bit out of the way, being about 10 minutes west of Chapel Hill on Hwy 54. If you 're into it, they have homemade menudo on weekends (not my thing) and ceviche tostadas. Check 'em out and their market across the road, too!

"I came here for a long time. Customer service has always been lacking, not the food in the beginning. Now that I see the extremely rude follow up comments the owner has left I can see this may be a trickle down or overall culture there. There is no person permanently stationed at the front. They are there one minute and then in the back for 5 minutes picking up to go orders AND bringing out other people 's food. It 's ridiculous to have to wait 5 minutes to be seated when the entire restaurant is almost empty. What would happen if you all got busy? It 's not a sustainable business model and I suggest the owner get an outside consultant or help because things have gone down hill in the worst of ways. When i was done with my food and noticed she had not checked on me in awhile, I went to the front to pay and yes, had to wait another 5 minutes to pay. Additionally the tables were dirty. The first two photos are from the first table I was seated at. I asked the waiter about this issue and she said oh they wash them Like... as y 'all can see there 's no way that happened. Then i asked to move tables only to be equally disgusted with that one : You all have so many people who love what you first presented when you opened. I was going back when they were up the street!! Long time customer. But unfortunately I have decided to never go again. I know for a fact if you all were to invest in staff culture (basic manners, politeness, increased workers on shift , food preparation (temperature, quality , and your overall business structure (cleanliness, timing, etc. your customers would be happy and of course the business would thrive. I am genuinely confused when a business is reluctant (demonstrated in Sacbe 's rude replies to improving. I recommend Tacos Beer, they have great mexican vegan options."

"2/26/22 In the mood for Mexican food, hubby and I decided to try Taqueria El Huarache in Silverdale. We were the first ones there, as we are usually for many restaurants. Elvia immediately greeted us with a friendly smile included; I asked a table, and then she took us to the bar area, that was a problem. We asked for water, and she quickly brought us water together with chips and salsa! The first thing I noticed about the restaurant, next to the kind greeting, it seemed a little outdated. The seating was a little rough around the edges, the floor covering looked antique, and much happened with decor and other objects hanging on the walls and the entrance door. I appreciated the colourfulness of the decor as it felt authentic; the other things were a bit disgusting from the funny Hispanic items that tasted the restaurant. Since I sat there and looked around as much as possible, it seemed relatively clean and had no strange, unpleasant smells; and all servers looked clean! I'm sorry I can't express my opinion about the toilets. *Before I talk about eating, I need to talk about our charming server Elvia; she was fantastic, funny, courteous and friendly to a boat; because that said that all we came was friendly, but they made you feel welcome! To dinner! So El Huaraches' menu is enormous, I lost counting on fifty items, and I feel there were probably 20 items on the menu that I didn't count. We have decided on the sheer number of elections; we would adhere to lunch specialties; there were thirty Esh selections to choose from too! I have always said that more is not necessarily better, and you have to ask yourself, is the taste and quality sacrificed for the crowd?! And if their other meals are as good as ours today, I will eat these words, lol. I decided for lunch Special #1, which had a tamale with beef, beans and rice. Hubby chose lunch Special #9, the Burrito; and the meat he chose was Carne Asada; his meal came with beans and rice. I was happy to have a homemade pigeon with homemade beans and rice. The beans and rice were good, but this tamale was great; perhaps it is because I usually skip ordering tamales; Finally, past has not been so impressive, so I typically go with what I know, but this was impressive, and I am happy, I chose it! Hubby's Burrito with the Carne Asada meat, hands down, was divine; I can't say I have ever carne asada so good, and he was extremely happy with his choice! Another very remarkable product was their salsa; We loved the swelling to him, strains of taste, and a little tiny bite, but nothing that would make you rush for a drink, just the perfect amount to improve it. We will definitely return!! Taqueria El Huaraches can be found at: 9448 Silverdale Way NW, Silverdale, Washington. They border what I would consider as a small stripe mall; but they sit alone and are not connected to other buildings. Taqueria El Huaraches shares a significant parking lot with Joy Teryaki, Top Nails, Liv Refreshed and other small businesses. About Silverdale Way you can find Grocery Outlet and Greens on your way. If you enjoy Mexican food, now is the time to attract Taqueria El Huarache with your presence; I doubt you will be disappointed! Thank you for supporting local businesses and changing the world by being friendly to ALL living entities; we are all important!"
