"Was nervous due to all the negative reviews, but we visited two nights ago for our first time using a local discount card for BOGO entrees. I was happy to hear the specials were not excluded, so we went big and ordered two of them. Appetizer: the "Fratelli Roll" $8 Described as an Itlaian sushi roll, it was four big slices and pretty good. The slices were so big we cut them in half for a bite each time and it was a bit dry - however that was easily remedied with the tabletop oil/balsamic drizzled generously. Entree: Sous Vide Filet Mignon $30 This 9oz filet came with a few seasoned carrots, a strange take on gnocchi using corn flour (they looked exactly like scallops, so I think the gnocchi reference from Sydney was a misnomer), with a mushroom pan sauce. My first plate was bad - the corn scallops were black on top, the filet was tough and gristle-ridden, and the pan sauce naturally carried the flavor of blackened carcinogens as well. I let our server know and she was happy to have it re-fired. The second go was much improved. Filet was tender as it should be, the corn scallops were golden on top though still a strange member of the dish, and the pan sauce was improved. I think it was over-reduced, so it was quite salty. The mushrooms in it should also have been sliced, seasoned and sautéed separately before being added in - tasted a bit raw if I'm honest. I would have loved a simple pan sauce bordelaise instead, and though I love mushrooms, the heavy-handed flavor didn't work. Entree: Two wild-caught, baked Canadian lobster tails with grilled asparagus and lemon risotto $28 This was my wife's dish, but I shared everything on it while my order was being redone. Lobster was cooked and seasoned well. Lemon risotto was under-, still a bit crunchy and was served in a dry mound at the center of the plate. Flavor was good though. Asparagus a bit overdone. Dessert: The Cake $7 We enjoyed this light finish to our meal. A mousse cake with a dense lower base flavored with pistachio, and light, airy lemon-raspberry upper, topped with a raspberry glaze. Delicious. Overall score of 3.0 - presentation was beautiful, comfortable ambiance, knowledgeable and attentive service."
