"We had an overall fantastic dining experience at this restaurant. The service was good, the atmosphere was nice, and we enjoyed eating outside on a beautiful evening. It's a great place to go for a special occasion, but the only downside is the price. The menu is a la carte, so it can be fairly expensive. We both ordered the filet with three sides to share, a glass of wine each, and skipped dessert, and our bill came out to nearly $300 for the two of us, including tip. While a nice meal at a nice restaurant is generally not cheap, there are other options in Tampa where you can find similar quality food for a much better price."

"It had the potential for a nice night. Reservation for 7 PM. We arrived an hour early for drinks at the bar before sitting in the dining room. Bar service was excellent. When they sat us, they sat us at a bar booth. It seems they sold out the dining room on Friday night! So no ambiance: we went from the bar to the bar. Not the reservation I made. We should have been told. No one knew the oyster selection. We asked for a briny and received an earthy oyster. We ordered the marrow which was very good. For the main, I had the ribeye and my wife have the Himalayan salt block filet. The sat block was salty and the filet quality though meager. They brought the ribeye blue though I ordered med rare; luckily, I prefer prime beef blue. Unfortunately it was the strip end of the rib loin. It had tough tendons throughout it that could not be cut. The server was fine. We will give the restaurant one more try, but it did not meet our expectations."

"We had an amazingly outstanding meal here. Sometimes a hotel restaurant feels like just a default “lazy” choice, but not this place. All of the food was really outstanding, the prices for the “Lounge Menu” were surprisingly reasonable especially for the quality and the servings very generous.But the best part of our experience was our wonderful server Afton! So professional, attentive and warm, she even brought some bacon to our table and suggested we crumble it on top of the cornbread skillet because its her favorite thing (she was spot on).We love staying at this hotel (Hilton Oceanfront) and we’ll be back. Pro tip: When you check into the hotel they give you a coupon to get a free dessert with each Entrée, Entree salad, or sandwich from this restaurant which made it an even more fantastic deal. (But if you use that please remember to tip on the full amount— especially if your server is Afton"

"Lazy Days is walking distance from where we are staying and my husband loves their mozzarella sticks so we decided to walk over the other evening. The perk of Lazy Days is by far the ambiance and being able to sit on the water. To be perfectly honest, I found the food to be only okay this time. The service wasn't all that great either. This is the second time we have eaten here although, the previous time we ate inside and the service was amazing. This time, sitting outside it was different but I didn't really care because it was so gorgeous outside. My husband loved his food though both times so I could just not be ordering the right things. For example my son's fries were outstanding and the mozzarella sticks were really good but the crab cake was super wet and didn't seem to have a lot of crab meat. Basically it might be good to stick to some of the more simple or fried options. Can't beat the view though and we will continue to come back!"

"I stopped by Lazy Day Marathon last night based on my best friend’s recommendation, and I’m so glad I did, especially since we had our kids with us. My friend ordered the Lazy Day Hug Fish (which wasn’t on the menu), and it was fantastic! The hog fish was lightly fried in Panko and served with diced tomatoes, chives, parmesan, and a special key lime butter sauce. We also had the Caesar salad as a side, and it was honestly the best fish and Caesar salad I’ve ever had! My kids, who are quite picky eaters, also really enjoyed their meals. This place is definitely going to be a must-visit for me every time I come to the Keys. The staff was friendly, and the service was both fast and excellent. Highly recommended!"

"we reserved a table back in march 2022 for a 30th anniversary dinner and were super excited to have a great meal after we got our vows renewed. we travel all the way to hawaii and are ready for the big day and go on to their website to check the menu again and find out they are CLOSED!!! i call to confirm and find out why NO ONE contacted us and find out from their message they closed in april 2022. no calls, no emails, no nothing from anyone to inform us they would not be open. no one from open table apparently was informed either as i called them and they could give me no answer on what was going on. needless to say we were lucky we looked before we showed up to an empty, closed restaurant for our anniversary dinner. SO SO disappointed with both the restaurant and open table for the worst experience ever! if we ever get back to maui there is NO WAY we would eat here or recommend to anyone."

"UPDATE 6/4/21 Returned for our anniversary and they had some new menu items we were excited to try! Unfortunately the vegan wings were $17 and I couldn’t justify spending that, but the new Buffalo chicken sandwich was good (although not as creative as the original) and I couldn’t believe how good the chicken salad was! The chicken was so realistic that I don’t think meat eaters would think anything of it, and I never say that. Cheesecake was on point too! It was an incredible experience to have a hard time choosing what to eat for once! Six years vegan and this place had one of the more extensive and creative vegan menus I have experienced. We had the pickle fries, domestic burger and Buffalo chicken sandwich (they were out of the chicken salad). The onion rings and ranch were also great! "We eat here regularly but this most recent visit was pure chaos. People seating themselves wherever what’s the point of a reservation?. We had two meals brought to us before getting the right ones. The food was good. Tables were left dirty and a busboy spilled glasses of water on another table’s shopping bags. It was almost comical. I imagine some staff is newly hired as business has ramped up and they’ll smooth things out. Hopefully that happens quickly. Fish tacos are excellent and really enjoy their smoke meat too"

"Red's is 100%. My family and I have had several different competitor places in the immediate area, as we do every year during our time in Point Plesant while visiting family. So its an annual look going back a decade. Red's has taken the cake for quality, freshness, service and atmosphere. They have made a few changes over the years and they have all been for the better. If you food is not up to par, it simply won't be served. We had the manager/owner(? Sorry I don't know ? tell us there would be no lobster bisque served after ordering as it was simply not ready to be served and was not currently the quality they would like to put out. That my friend is what is known as high class. And I thank you Red's, for it. We all do. Make a reservation early because at the pace Red's is setting, its going to be unseatable in the busy season if you don't."

"We arrived a few minutes early for our 7 PM reservation, and were seated immediately at our preferred table. Our server, John, took excellent care of us during our visit. My wife selected the Sea Bass, I chose the grilled skirt steak with chimichuri sauce both were delicious. John was great at helping me avoid items with milk products in them I am very allergic to milk products. We both enjoyed watching the stream of humanity along upper Pier Ave while we ate. Another great visit at Hook Plow."

"So the family and I went here for lunch the other day. My wife and I are vegans and the only vegan options that we saw on the menu were a fruit platter appetizer (if you ordered it without the yogurt dip) and a veggie sandwich and maybe a couple salads if you ordered no cheese. That is all that we could find for us to eat, but I was very pleased with the veggie sandwich that I got, even though I do not like mushrooms which was clearly stated but I thought I'd give a shot. My wife seemed to enjoy her fruit platter very much as well. Overall the place had very good food for what was available."

"Went twice during most recent visit. First visit was OK although steak was not cooked properly, pasta wasn't as described, and bread pudding served cold. There was some good things but too many flaws at this price point. The second visit was quite possibly the worst restaurant experience I've ever had (7/14). Ordered skillet mac and cheese for appetizer. It was served still frozen in the middle. They recooked it and it was still cold. The wedge Salas next was wrong. The main entree was wrong. At this point, it was going to be chalked up to a bad meal but it gets worse. They started to spray for bugs right by our table while we were eating. Yes, you read that correctly. The hostess got off her phone long enough to tell him not to spray with customers present. Needless to say, nothing says spending $100 for lunch like the fumes of bug spray. The portion sizes are big, both waiters were decent, but this place is horribly run."

"Food was decent for our first night on Maui, but what probably stood out most was the service. Wait staff very attentive to ensuring glasses were full with water, no rushing to order, answered questions on the menu, and ensured specials were detailed to our understanding. On top of that, Ford the manager personally greeted us and every table and thanked us for coming in. We were celebrating our younger daughter's straight A year in high school and they acknowledged here with their Maui Pie. Ambiance was great because the dining area was outside under a giant awning. Going around 6:30pm was great for the time of the year because after dinner and dessert are done, it's about sunset. After dinner you can take pictures from the hotel grounds. They make a Hawaiian version of cioppino which my wife liked. My daughter had their crab cakes and I ate steak. I've seen another review speak of their filet as a steak covered in BBQ sauce and I can see how that can be tasted as such. However, it was properly prepared the way I like it, med-rare and I enjoyed the flavor."

"I arrived early and had to wait until I could sit down. I sat in the back of the room. my sitting area had brought us to serve almost last. I had sent my nativity back, and after 25 minutes I never received it. we were very disappointed and we felt that our planned christmas was ruined. I want to see kitchen staff with their aprons from the kitchen in the diner room area. for the price, it was completely unorganized, how to shed customers and then had to stand in the line. in the future I hope that they will take advantage of seats at once rather overwhelming. I will not return it or recommend it because the amount I was charged is close to the border of the federal theft in some states. I could have overlooked this circus if it wasn't terrible. I just want a refund, but I just left because it was Christmas and I wanted to respect the others in a hospitable manner."

"From the reviews we were expecting a far better experience. Our table was in the little hallway by the bathroom so ambiance was poor. The food was over priced for the quality. The wait staff wasn’t very genuine and talked to the point it interrupted our group’s conversation, but didn’t seem to want to talk about or didn’t ask why two of us sent back most of our food. Overall if I did live in the area I wouldn’t return."

"The dining room is a bit dated and dark. Parking was plentiful. During the season, the Patio will give you a nice view of Fishing Boats coming into the habor with their catches. Started with fried Clams and Cream of Crab Soup. The Clams were too chewy and the soup, although good and full of crab meat, was too runny, not what I would call a cream soup. The mains were Rockfish Fingers and a Crab Scallop Combo. The Rockfish Fingers were delicious, served with a Thai Chili Sauce. At $42, I expected more from the Combo, it was just OK.
