"Firstly, the menu stated that the prices included a credit card fee, with a 4% discount for cash payments. I paid with a credit card, but upon receiving the bill, I noticed an additional charge that contradicted what the menu indicated. I let that slide, thinking it was a minor issue.
Then I noticed that a 15% tip was automatically included in the final bill. With both the credit card charge and the added tip, my total went from around $65-$70 to approximately $83-$85—a significant increase.
Despite this, I paid the bill without further complaint. However, when it was time to sign the check, I saw they had included a tip option again, this time ranging from 15% to 25%. The amount calculated was based on the total I had already paid, which included that initial 15% tip. This left a sour taste in my mouth, as I felt pressured to add more tips after already spending close to $85.
Ultimately, I decided to leave an additional 5% tip, bringing my total tip to 20%, but realistically, it felt like I was tipping nearly 25% since that extra amount was calculated on top of tax and the initial tip.
I wasn't pleased with this practice, and in the future, I will likely opt for takeout or delivery instead of dining in. Just a heads up: the menu prices seem outdated, as the final bill is often significantly higher than what is listed."
