"The lunch specials are still reasonably priced and offer generous portions. My favorites are the Pad Thai shrimp and Green Curry Tofu, often accompanied by the green Thai iced tea. On my most recent visit, a group of four of us decided to share several dishes family-style: Shrimp Fresh Rolls, Pad Thai Shrimp, Crab Fried Rice, Tom Yum Shrimp, Pad Eggplant Tofu, and Mango Sticky Rice. We polished off the shrimp rolls and the soup, but ended up with leftovers of the noodles, rice, and eggplant, which were all full-sized dinner portions!
Everything tasted fresh, from the distinct tamarind flavor in the Pad Thai to the crab in the fried rice, the firm eggplant, and the deliciously fried tofu. The soup had a perfect balance of sour and spice. The mango was definitely of Manila or Ataulfo variety, and the sticky rice was beautifully blue from the butterfly pea flower!
The service was great, and the ambiance remains cozy and dimly lit. I also noticed on one of the table tents that they're participating in the Yolo County Vegan Challenge for April 2024."
