"Recently visited this place in Glastonbury. I'm a fan of traditional food from New Orleans (gumbo, jambalaya, etc), and I was glad there is a place that we could go visit. First impressions, the place is nice with open space for comfortable seating. We had a chance to speak with the owner a d she was great, you could tell she has a passion for what she was doing and trying create a place where people could come hang out, listen to some music and get something to eat. Service was great, and as we have questions on the menu, they offered to give us samples to help us decide. There were a lot of choices food wise. We landed on some poboys and the sampler. I felt the grits, gumbo, and crawfish were good although the jambalaya was a bit cold and not as good as the other dishes. The Mac n Cheese was simple but good, enough seasoning to give it a kick. I think the poboys are a good go to for a nice lunch or a choice in case you are not sure what to eat. The sandwiches were good, especially the shrimp one. At the end of the day I ask myself the question of would I come back to a Restaurant a good 25 min away from home, the answer is absolutely! The place has a family feel, good food, good ambience. I think after I get to try more dishes this will become a 5 starts. Keep up the good work guys!"
