"Once we received our drinks, we ordered from a menu that, while only a single page long, featured a diverse range of dishes. This streamlined approach allows the kitchen to focus on their specialties and maintain fresh ingredients. My wife’s shrimp tacos were outstanding! The shrimp had a crispy exterior and were juicy inside; she received two generous tacos. She particularly enjoyed the sauce, which was dill-based and had just the right amount of spice for her (mild to my taste, though). The fried potatoes served as a side were a delightful cross between fries and wedges, and they hit the spot, especially paired with a side of remoulade for both the tacos and the potatoes.
My shrimp and grits were delicious as well. The creamy grits complemented the spicy sauce that seasoned the shrimp and boudin wonderfully. The side salad was tasty, with the flavored croutons being a highlight. Meadow did an excellent job catering to our needs without being intrusive. Live music was entertaining, although it was a bit too loud, even though we tried to sit as far away as possible. Nevertheless, we appreciate Phatty's for being bold (just maybe turn it down a notch next time). All in all, it was a great experience, and we’ll definitely be back soon!"
