"This place had me awestruck! It's a no-frills establishment that is generous with the food and energy. I wanted to press my face to the glass like a little kid. Everything looked delectable. We were visiting the area and were heading home the next day. I couldn't leave the region without having some local seafood! I just did a quick search, and Mid-Atlantic had the highest ratings. The reviews were true! All my food was super flavorful. The crab balls and stuffed shrimp had giant chunks of crab meat and vegetables. We ate off our plates for days! The portions are massive and worth every cent. While we were there, it seemed like the door never closed. Dozens of patrons came in, mostly for carryout. I'm telling you, if you present any of their sides as homemade, your guests would think your grandma was in that kitchen. I had collard greens, and although they were prepared simply, they were tender and fresh with a wonderful chew. In Chicago we have a few counter service seafood joints, but over the years they've gottenheavy-handedd with a one-size fits all breading. Mid-Atlantic has a light hand and seasons with a blend that complements each type of seafood that we ordered. Every element of this restaurant demonstrates why they're top rated. And that mumbo sauce! We love to travel for good food, so we will definitely be back!"

"I wouldn't recommend this restaurant at all. They call it Nepalese, but it's just a fancy name for Indian food that I love. There are many excellent Indian restaurants here, but this is not one of them. Firstly, there were no other customers when we got there. Two parties came in after us and we dealt with them before we did. We have expressly told the waitress everything mild. When we ordered a birayani she forgot to tell us until we complained that it is always spicy. We started with an inedible lentil soup. It was cold and salty. We asked for hot tea and she said they had gone out that afternoon. Our chicken tikka was all sauce and very little chicken. We sent it back and told them to add more chicken. The shrimp dish was the same - all sauce and hardly any shrimp. The sauces over the rice were pleasant, but overpriced for how little you got. We enjoyed the starter of Mo MO and the Chana Masala. I love Mango Lassi, but they just poured it out of a 1 gallon container. It was probably pre-made in the supermarket. Don't go here when we have such a large and diverse Indian community with excellent restaurants across the region."

"Where do I begin? Being greeted by Charlie, The lovely atmosphere, beautiful live plants. Being served by Charlie, wow he is very attentive and he worked magic with accommodating all of my dietary restrictions which is soy, dairy, and eggs.The whole team assured I got what I need and they delivered tremendously I am very grateful and excited. I innerstand restaurants comes up with a specific menu and do not like to change their menu and I have to say they made it happen. What I ordered was not on the menu .The box is on the menu. The items it came with I was unable to eat.The food was good and fresh. I would definitely come again. I live all over the world and travel all over the world for food experiences. "Nothing about my order was stand out. Got a lamb gyro and they put way too much sauce on it. Literally leaking sauce out either end of the gyro. And they didn't even fold it, they just made it like a taco.My friend asked for chicken wings and french fries with ketchup salt and pepper on top, and instead of doing what she asked they just put packets of ketchup in our to-go bag.When asked why they did that and didn't put the condiments on top of the food as requested, the employees just shrugged and handed us ketchup packets. When asking about salt and pepper we were told they didn't have any.Chicken wings and french fries were unseasoned and had very little flavor.Also bought two pieces of cake, the four layer carrot cake slice was $7 plus tax. Ridiculously overpriced for what you're getting.The gyro with fries, four wings with fries, and two slices of cake were overpriced at $37.Two women working behind the counter, the black girl made me repeat myself at least half a dozen times and still didn't get the order right The white girl looked like a junkie and was rude to the black girl. At one point, The phone rings about half a dozen times in a row and instead of picking up the phone and putting taking the order she angrily asked the black girl to do pick up the phone and put the customer on hold... While she stood there doing nothing.Places kind of grungy and dirty looking. Very old building without regular maintenance.If zero stars were an option, they'd get it."

"From the moment you step inside, you are warmly welcomed. The decor is fantastic; the sushi bar is a stunning centerpiece that transports you to another place. We arrived just in time for lunch, and to be honest, I was too hungry to take many pictures, only managing to snap one of my salad. However, I will definitely return for another visit, and I'll make sure to document the food next time. I ordered the chicken fried rice, while my companion went for the Pad Thai. We chose the side salad instead of the miso soup, and everything was absolutely delicious. We even had leftovers, which we packed up to enjoy later. We also tried the iced Thai coffee, and it was perfect. My only regret is not ordering extra to take home because when I ate my leftovers, I wished I had more! I highly recommend this restaurant. The ambiance, service, and food are all exceptional, making it well worth a visit. We would recommend it to anyone and everyone. I can't praise this place enough!"

"The food was reasonably priced. There were a few unusual things that happened with our meal. Drinks were not refilled, the servers were talking loud enough behind the counter that they distracted several patrons. The staff seemed to get along well,but maybe too well as several tables were waiting for service, including ours. The biscuits and sausage gravy was very good.The sandwiches were great. "We were seated right on time, and our server arrived promptly. We ordered appetizers and drinks, which were served quickly. One person in our group ordered two additional appetizers as his main dish, but those were supposed to arrive after everyone else received their main courses. Unfortunately, his chicken wings were overcooked to the point of being inedible. On a positive note, the spinach salad and curry dishes were excellent. However, when the main courses were finally served, my husband's dish was delayed by another 20 minutes, leaving the rest of us already finished with our meals. Service was lacking; we had to seek someone out to refill our water and to inquire about my husband's main dish. As locals who usually enjoy the food here, we were disappointed by the service this time. Our friends, who were visiting for the first time, have decided not to return."

"The quality of the food has deteriorated significantly over the past few years. The fajitas lacked flavor—just meat and peppers with no seasoning. "The food at this restaurant is exceptional, served in a relaxed and authentic atmosphere. Our waitress was attentive and helpful, enhancing our overall dining experience. The bread selection includes three varieties, all made in-house and delicious. I often stop by on my way out of town to bring some bread home to share with friends. The salad was fantastic and the vodka chicken pasta, a specialty dish, was cooked perfectly with a delightful sauce. The menu features seasonal specials and all desserts are homemade and delicious. We enjoyed sharing the ice cream sundae topped with caramelized marshmallows and chocolate ganache, which was large enough to serve four people. We will definitely be returning to dine here again when we come back to Mayo and Golf."

"Rude female owner, not sure of her name when take out doesn't go write. Great food but if you take out make sure you got all your food. My bad for not checking twice now in 3 months, and gas isn't cheap just to go back after you tortious and sauce. Iwas kinda aggravated going back and was told the girl that made my meal said it was all there. Sure it was and the woman owneraccused me of being angry all the time when I come up to eat. I did eat a lot there but have always had the best service and tgebest food. Tip really good and spend a good amount when we eat in. They have no problem with you dealing with your problem ofnot get all your food because it's your responsibility to make sure your order is complete and telling you so. Well to somedegree they're write but I also can find another Mexican restaurant to spend my money. I will do just that. He the owner was okto talk to but she is just rude or needs to pay attention to the faces of her costumes before accusing them of being a angryperson all the time, so the meal costs me more not the restaurant. Gas isn't cheap, my bad."

"I had to go to the hostess to ask for a server to come to our table. The server was very nice. She brought the food. There was a long piece of hair in my husband's food. The server was mortified. They re-cooked it, offered us free dessert and did not charge us for our appetizer or my husband's plate. My shrimp was undercooked, but I thought I would just take it home and re-heat it. Typically we eat at their restaurant in Excelsior, but thought we would try this one since we were in the area. This was an unfortunate experience. They were quick to do what they could to remedy the situation."

"As visitors from out of town, this taco joint came recommended to us. The salsa was awesome, the chips coated with grease (lots of grease), and the tacos OK. We went for weekend lunch and it was pretty hopping. We didn't try margaritas, so i can't speak for the booze. If it was a place in my neighborhood i'd go back, but i don't think its a destination restaurant. This being said, i won't be back."

"Location was great. Menu looked very good; right up our alley. Our waitress was fantastic; she was very friendly to our young kids, checked on us throughout our meal, and was quick to meet all our needs. Drinks took almost minutes to arrive even though the restaurant did not appear to be overly busy. My drink was exceptional (old fashioned). My wife's gin cocktail was okay, but not exceptional. Food was sorely lacking, particularly for a gastropub in the heart of Chicago. We ordered simply; my wife and I ordered a burger and my kids ordered standard kid fare of grilled cheese/fries and macaroni fries didn't taste fresh as they were a bit chewy/stale and not hot. My son's grilled cheese wasn't fully melted and was glazed over as if it had been under a heat lamp for quite awhile. Overall, the food was edible, but quality of food was akin to what you might get from a Big Boy or roadside diner (and not the good neighborhood gem type). We should really follow our instincts and go to areas we love about Chicago, which are the numerous neighborhoods, rather than the touristy Mag Mile."

"We spent the day in the Bishops Arts area. Stopped in Enzo's with a party of 6 for pizza. We had salads, artichoke dip and pizza. The bartender was very friendly. The waiter was attentive. The artichoke dip was good, totally different than the usual, salads were fresh, the pizza is more of a flat bread. It is like pizza toppings on a cracker. It was a nice change and everyone enjoyed it but it was not the usual pizza. The atmosphere is lively and the restaurant has a great location. We had a good time and would come again."

"Some of the worst sushi I've had in a while. Salmon didnt taste sushi grade and had a gray-ish hue. The other rolls were covered in spicy mayo after requesting no sauce. No accountability and no call back from management. Spent $75 on a dinner I couldn't eat. They also dont supply ginger or wasabi, so there was no disguising how bad the sushi was. Don't waste money here."

"To make matters worse, when I was finally called up to pay, they hadn't even finished preparing the third dish in my order and had to rush it out at the last minute. I do want to acknowledge the waitstaff; they were genuinely friendly and tried to make things better by offering a $5 discount, which I appreciated. However, aside from that, I don't have much else to say positively about my experience. Unfortunately, this was my first experience at Mondo, and while it could have been an isolated incident, as first impressions go, it will also be my last. Paying $17 for a calzone, with an extra $4 for each topping, combined with an hour and 15-minute wait on top of the original 25 minutes? That's a definite no for me—it's a situation I wouldn't want to repeat."
