"Save yourself the headache and your money this place is gross. I order a grilled chicken breast sandwich and they grabbed their season chicken strip/ veggie from the buffet(which by the way didn?t bother me, but it was not chicken breast) definitely not what I order. I gave it the benefit of the doubt and took a bite but obviously the sandwich won?t taste right because the chicken is season for a whole meal. I kindly request to get another sandwich, however, Iset the employee decided to get an approval from her boss. I overheard the conversation and this woman made it sound like I was being annoying and a difficult customer which it was not the case at all(this is my first time in this place it will definitely be the last). Once I overheard her rude comments I refused the sandwich and requested my money back which she made it completely difficult. An awful experience for someone that was literally starving and gracing good food. Below is a photo of what they gave me. Like I said save your money. In that same plaza in the other side is a wayyyy better Dominican place that has never, EVER given me any issues and is super neat and FRIENDLY"

"Dominican Food Heaven. My cousin married into a Dominican family and she introduced me to Dominican food. Wow, it was amazing. Several years ago I was in Washington Heights and I asked around for the best Dominican restaurant and everyone I asked said that El Malecon was the best and they were right. The Mofongo was perfection on a plate. The rotisserie chicken was very tender and tasty. If there is a perfect way to make rice and beans, they have figured it out at El Malecon. I think the Sangria really topped off the meal. My dining partner and I agree that this was a wonderful experience.Oh, and just a couple of short blocks from the train."

"I tried the Mini Combo with Boneless Chicken Chunks, Rice, Beans, and a free soda. While it's advertised as "Chicharrón de Pollo," it’s really just chicken tenders. However, the Chicken and Cheese Turnover was fantastic—definitely a 10 out of 10! It was very flavorful, and everything was packaged nicely."

"The authentic Dominican cuisine at this restaurant is incredibly delicious. We tried the breakfast (Desayuno), beef empanadas, and Papa relleno, and all of the dishes were served piping hot and extremely tasty! The empanadas were generously filled with beef, making them even more satisfying. I was truly impressed by the quality of the food."

"Food is good but customer service is the worse, I order online and they didn?t bring me the side order, I call the restaurant and they told me very rude that everything was complete I explained to her that not because we where missing the fries for my chicken parmigiana, after a while arguing she say will send the delivery with my fríes, after one hour call back the restaurant and she says it was on its way but the delivery never came. we used to order every week and i feel so bad about this experience. is been 3 month so far. Hope they see this and train their employees."

"I 'm so upset about the money I just spent in there, in a way it 's my fault because it can be very hit or miss with them. Today 11-22-2023 literally A DAY BEFORE Thanksgiving I stopped in there to pick up three trays of food because who 's cooking tonight? I was surprised my total was $32.00 especially for the small trays I just ordered, as there are other Dominican restaurants in area that have specific prices for the lunch tray as I could 've understood if I purchased the large tray. When I arrived home took the food out the bag I was instantly angry. The two beef stew orders had POUNDS of rice inside with FOUR LITTLE PIECES OF BEEF AND TWO TINY PIECES OF CARROT, THE SECOND BEEF STEW TRAY HAD EVEN LESS! THE other tray is Pernil which looks like it needed to be cooked longer! WHEN I TELL YOU IM SO MAD THAT IT WAS ALMOST $40 for happy meals undercooked meat. I 'm HOT! So angry! Honestly? I really don’t know how they’re still open."
