"As someone raised on fresh seafood, I’m very particular about how it’s cooked, and Red Crab Juicy Seafood got it just right! One of my biggest pet peeves is overcooked shrimp—they shouldn’t be tightly curled or tough to bite, but here they were perfectly cooked with a gentle curve. The decor is lovely, featuring a cool projector that displays calming ocean waves. I also appreciated the use of paper table covers and the fact that the restaurant didn’t have that typical fishy smell, which is definitely a plus.
If you order seafood by the pound and choose the steamed option, your food arrives in the bag it was steamed in, along with corn on the cob and potatoes—such a neat presentation! I initially thought the sauces were just for dipping, but they’re actually steamed with the seafood and incredibly flavorful. You can pick one sauce, combine two, or mix them all into the “Juicy Sauce,” which is delicious.
Be ready to get your hands messy if you order by the pound or half-pound—that’s part of the fun! If you prefer not to eat with your hands, seafood entrees are available. Unlike other seafood spots, sides aren’t unlimited here—you’ll need to order hush puppies separately, but they’re tasty. The restaurant also has a full bar and excellent waitstaff. If you’re unsure what to order, just ask them for recommendations—and definitely tip well!
I’d recommend Red Crab Juicy Seafood as a special treat since it’s on the pricier side. With appetizers, tea, and dessert, expect to spend around $80 to $100."
