"We attempted to call Rusty Nail multiple times, but no one answered. When we finally reached a staff member, they claimed the delivery was scheduled for 11:30 AM, contrary to what the orderers had been told. After waiting an additional 20 minutes without any food, I decided to leave the party and go to Rusty Nail myself. We had elderly guests, children, and a diabetic who was experiencing low blood sugar due to the delayed food, all while waiting in nearly 90-degree heat.
Upon arriving at the restaurant, I spoke with the person in charge, who insisted the delivery time was indeed 11:30 AM, and she was quite defensive despite my polite concern. I left with the resolve that I would never eat there again. The staff seemed to be deflecting responsibility for the situation. Just as I returned to the park, the food was finally delivered at 11:30 AM.
Based on what I observed, it appears that either the Rusty Nail staff misplaced our order or misrecorded the delivery time. When the food finally arrived, the chicken was quite good, though one piece was undercooked and lacking in coating, which I had to discard. I also received a biscuit that was cold, which is surprising considering the warm weather. The salads were acceptable. What disappointed me most was that some staff members refused to acknowledge their mistakes. I’ve decided that I will not eat there or order from them again."
