"To say this restaurant has taken a turn for the worst would be an understatement. A few years ago the entire menu was approachable and always executed well. Now it appears they’ve landed on a very few ingredients to work with and try to incorporate them across multiple dishes. Yikes. Lack of creativity aside, the food just wasn’t that good. Plates were just sort of tossed together and all of our plates had omissions or ingredient “substitutions” that missed the mark. Service was lackluster as well and one of our items never made it to the table. I don’t know if it’s a staff change or new ownership, but we won’t be returning anytime soon."

"I recently visited Break Your Gast cafe in Union City, California and had a wonderful experience. I tried the Korean BBQ bowl to go, which was a delicious combination of rice, lettuce, sautéed mushrooms, and chicken with a tasty teriyaki sauce. I was impressed that they were open on December 25th, which added to the convenience and warmth of my dining experience. I am grateful for the delicious food and the attentive service – definitely a restaurant worth trying!"

"Have you ever heard someone say 'I almost hurt myself ' as in metaphorically speaking? Listen here people I almost hurt myself enjoying this food. I dare not say a competitor 's name while giving a review, but for the life of me there was this French toast at another restaurant that I thought would never in life be topped. Well I be doggone if Highland Bakery easily topped it and is now my favorite place to get french toast. My daughter and I are in agreement that this is the case. The omlet I had was excellent and my daughter kept taking a few bites out of it. Lol. The price is worth the taste. I 'll be visiting again soon."

"I took my daughter to brunch here for her 21st birthday, and it was my first time visiting. We arrived about 30 to 40 minutes before closing. When we were seated, the waitress kindly informed us that the kitchen would be closing in 20 minutes, but they never made us feel rushed while we enjoyed our meal, which was very considerate. The staff we interacted with were all friendly and made us feel genuinely welcomed, something I truly appreciate in today’s world. The only concern I had was the additional service fee that appeared on the bill; it was a bit unclear to me since we don’t have that in New Jersey. However, I paid it and left a tip on top of that. I will definitely be coming back!"

"We came here a few weeks ago for a friend's birthday and while I was annoyed in the ambience of the restaurant and bar area above, it was really the playroom on the ground floor, which was somehow hidden that really blown me away. I hung pictures so you can take a look at this Hidden Gem. Where was basketball, skee ball, TV and a great area to hang around with friends."

"I have always loved fork and wrench and I am sad to hear that it is for sale (after their Facebook page postings.) they are not their typical tavern in both lands and food options. they remind me of a steampunk version of annabel lee. at this opportunity I had the lapsed braided short ribs and my friend had the meerrot scalings. both delicious and recommended. we also pampered in the cheese plate. also pretty good. they even delivered us a few extra criostini after our request. I will say they gave me the most strange version of a cosmopolitan I had ever learned with st. georges wodka ewww. lektion. not really her fault, I didn't give her back and it ended like my friend. I always say if they drink a third or more before they make a final decision, it is theirs. So I'm not really complaining about watching. So, go before they're out. highly recommended."

"The music was excessively loud, making it impossible for us to hear each other, and the lighting was so dim that we couldn't read the menu. Our main courses arrived 12 minutes apart, and when we inquired about it, we were merely told, "that's how it is here," with no prior notification of this policy. It was quite frustrating that the chef couldn't coordinate the timing of the dishes so we could enjoy our meal together. Additionally, there were a lot of bones in the fish, which I struggled to remove due to the low light; I even had to use my phone's flashlight to see my plate! On top of that, there were only two waitstaff for the entire crowded restaurant. We definitely won't be returning."

"The kids' meals offer great value, featuring Mini Chocolate Chip Pancakes and a Scrambled Egg. The pancakes come in a portion of 4-5 small ones, along with a scrambled egg and a sausage. The other meal includes hash browns, a scrambled egg, and a slice of bacon. The Meat Lovers Skillet was flavorful and topped with two poached eggs. While it was described as being loaded with various meats, the pieces were quite small and there was more potato than meat in the dish, making it feel a bit overpriced. Similarly, the tasty side of bacon, which includes four slices that are thicker than average and have a nice flavor, costs nearly $3 per slice; at that price, you'd expect something a bit more extravagant!"

"We visited this restaurant for the first time today with my boyfriend, and we absolutely loved it! I ordered the avocado and tomato toast, which was delicious; you could really taste the freshness of the ingredients. I also appreciated that they offer vegetarian options. My boyfriend had the breakfast burger with fries and grits, and he barely managed to finish it because the portion was quite large—definitely not a complaint, though, as he enjoyed every bite! We ended up taking some leftovers home with us. Our waitress, Rachel, was wonderful—she was quick with everything and checked in on us regularly without being intrusive. Overall, all the staff seemed friendly and professional. The manager also stopped by to check on us. It was a perfect 10/10 experience, and we’ll definitely be back!"

"Our waiter went on break before we arrived to our reservation. Upon arrival we were seated had to wait 15-20 minutes before someone came to even take a drink order. The waitress explained that our host was out on break and that she’d be able to get our drinks.. she eventually became our waiter because the original person never showed. She barely assisted us the whole 2hrs we were there. She maybe approached us a total of 3 times. The food was subpar. My bacon was extremely burnt and i barely could get condiments for my waffle. The bottomless mimosas indeed went to the bottom before I had to ask for a refill. This is my 3rd time eating at Mo’s and never received service like this before. This brunch definitely left a bad taste in my mouth. It will be a while until i eat at Mo’s again."

"8/6/2022 I don't like leaving bad reviews but this is one of those times that I must. We have been at this location in the past and we've enjoyed every time we've dined here. We waited over 15 minutes to place an order for a spicy chicken sandwich and achicken waffle plate. After receiving the spicy chicken sandwich, we were waiting over 15 minutes for the chicken waffleplate.. which never arrived. But, before I complained to the waiter, I noticed a little bit of mold on the bread. I had aterrible experience at this location. Service was poor and they never took the time to come by our table to give us an update onthe second plate or if we wanted refills on our drinks. I will never come back to this location and will recommend all myfriends and family not to come to this location. Worst experience ever!"

"If I could give a zero-star rating, I would. I visited this restaurant a couple of months ago, and my friends and I were incredibly excited to go. Unfortunately, the service was awful. We were the only table for our waitress, yet she moved at a snail's pace. They were out of almost everything we wanted to order. The DJ was cut off early because they claimed that people living upstairs complained—really? To make matters worse, the crab legs I ordered were not worth a single penny! They were missing legs and it was a complete disappointment. Our sides were incorrect as well. When we asked to speak to the manager, she claimed to be the general manager. She offered to discount our terrible experience but only took off about $2 from our bill, and still expected us to leave a tip. I would never recommend this place or return in the future."

"The orange juice was bottled rather than freshly squeezed. The portion sizes were unreasonably small, and the drink came with an unwrapped straw already inserted. The eggs Benedict had no intact yolks; it appeared that only one egg was included, and it was broken and spilled into the bag. The chilaquiles were served without any cheese or crema on top, and the country potatoes were still hard. This is particularly disappointing, as our last experience here was excellent and we really enjoyed it."

"I only had one issue during my visit: although I was dining with just one other person, a 20% gratuity was automatically added to our bill. While I’m fine with tipping for good service, I prefer to tip in cash so my server can keep the amount, which I've already paid taxes on. To show my appreciation for my server’s excellent service, I left an additional 20% tip in cash before leaving. However, I felt the automatic gratuity didn’t give me the chance to adjust my tip based on the service received, in case it had been less than satisfactory. It seemed a bit inappropriate to me. In fairness to the Bistro, I should mention that I'm not from the area, and perhaps this practice caters to their regular clientele. Overall, the service was outstanding, the food was well-presented and delicious, and the drink recommendations from our server were spot-on. I would definitely recommend CheSa's Bistro Bar and plan to return!"
