"I would have liked to stay and eat, but there was a strange smell in the air that resembled paint or some kind of chemical, so I decided to take my food and leave. In hindsight, I should have stayed to get a refund because my food was not hot at all. I realized things were off when I saw the staff member grab my order from a shelf. They don’t seem to have a warmer to keep food ready for pickup, which means mine had likely been sitting there for a while.
When I opened my order, everything was lukewarm, with a puddle of hot sauce at the bottom of the container. I asked for hot sauce, but I definitely didn’t request extra! The celery and carrots were completely soaked in it. I only had a 30-minute lunch break, and given the way my week was going, I didn’t have the energy to complain or make a scene. I was really disappointed because I was hungry and excited to try their food.
In the end, I ended up giving my food away to a homeless person on my way back to work. Just because I didn’t like it doesn’t mean someone else wouldn’t appreciate it. I didn’t want to eat cold food, especially since I was already trying to stick to a diet!"
