"PROS: This place was the first place I ate at when I visited Salem. A lot of space to help with CDC guidelines and you can it inside and out. The food was great, there was a lot on the menu all for a reasonable price. The staff was very friendly and made sure we were taken care of. CONS: There wasn't really any cons. One thing is that I made a reservation for mid September back in August but they abolished all reservations till November which risked us not getting a table, fortunately we did though. Also parking is a hassle. Since they are located in a walking alley you have to find parking far away OVERALL: This place is definitely a place to hit up. They also hold banquets and is haunted too! I recommend the Burger if you go."

"My recent visit to Roggies for lunch on a Sunday was a pleasant experience. With only four people in the restaurant, the service was excellent. Located near Boston College, Roggies is a sports bar so we didn't have high expectations for a fine dining experience, but we were not disappointed. While the appetizer platter was bland, the Lobster Roll and Pastrami Burger entrees were surprisingly tasty. The breakfast entrees also looked appealing. It's worth noting that Roggies is a college bar with a slight stale beer odor and unstable chairs, so it may not be ideal for a family outing. However, their pizza takeaway option is delicious and worth considering."

"We understand things are difficult in restaurants, but there were issues with our dinner. Our server was polite, but did not follow up with us during the meal and missed a drink order from one in our group. Second, this was a special occasion, a 91st birthday, and our mother grew up in the neighborhood so this place is special to her. When our meals arrived, our mother's dish did not. She had to wait another 10 minutes before she was served. We politely requested that the meal be taken off the bill, but that request was denied. We were offered drinks and dessert, but we weren't there to drink and had birthday cake waiting. We finally agreed to take-home dessert and received stale cannolis as compensation. The Chateau, after all these years, should be ashamed."

"Our Waitress was excellent! Professional, yet friendly. With having to ask for every little thing now she never missed a beat or lost her cool. The bread was excellent, our entree's were good could of been a little more sauce but other than that they were good. The Antipasto salad however was small and was lacking in variety of ingredients also did not like the dressing it was tasteless. I would dine here again but chose a different salad"

"So amazing...everything we ordered was well prepared and top notch. The fish and chips were not greasy by any means and the fish used (haddock, I believe was beyond fresh and delicious. We ordered a slew of items--clam chowder (excellent , fish and chips(see above note : , Shrimp Louie (so fresh--ordered a 1/2 order , and a BBQ tri-tip type sandwich accompanied with mac/cheese,bbq sauces (delish and very flavorful . For two people ordering ALL that food and drinks, came to over $70.00. Doesn'tdisappoint and makes for a great family/date lunch!"

"Devens Grill was a nice surprise, I didn't realize this restaurant was even here. We had four for dinner and each one of us ordered something different. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive, not too distant nor too overbearing... just the right of amount of attention during our visit. All the meals were very tasty, my sliced sirloin was ordered med rare requested more towards rare than med) but came out closer to medium. It was covered in a light mushroom sauce and was very tender and tasty regardless of the minor overcook. Will definitely come back would like to sit out on the patio it looked lovely. Thanks!"

"The server was great the place is nice has a nice old-school vibe to it who's there for the prime rib it was good The seafood platter I didn't really like that much server was very good and intentive her name was Katie and the manager name was Penny and she was very nice and happy and she helped us with the menu and give us a better idea. The lobster pie was good could use a little bit more filler or more more more stuffing the stuffed mushrooms are great but definitely be coming back here again I want to try other things on the menu I had a lot of good recommendations from my way to waitress also I love the popovers that they give you at the beginning"

"The decor here is older but in good condition, and the service is excellent. All staff are attentive, speedy, polite, friendly, and willing to do whatever it takes to keep you and your guests happy. Food is tasty, clean, and homemade. The Italian wedding soup, for example, comes chock full of delicious little meatballs which are handrolled and sauteed. Lunch specials are a great value, with huge portions, bread basket, and a choice of pasta or rice, and salad or soup included. Lunch items from the menu are good and wellprepared, but the portions are much smaller than the lunch specials and no starch except the bread basket is included. Parking is free and plentiful in a big lot by the restaurant, and there is a ramp and an HP entrance which are easy to use. A very good experience. We would go again"

"We were visiting the Andover area and wanted a steak dinner. 189 Prime had a high rating and many positive reviews, so we made a reservation. Our disappointment began upon entering the restaurant. The dining room was practically empty and yet the hostess escorted us to a tiny two-top table. I asked if they expected to be busy later and when she said “no” I asked if we could have a more comfortable seating at a four-top. Once seated, we didn’t see a server for quite some time and then there was a debate as to which server was assigned to us. I will applaud the New England clam chowder, but the filet dinner was average at best. Had to request bread service after seeing it presented at other tables and noticing that two other parties seated after us received their dinners before us. Learned that one kitchen handles the branded steakhouse, the sports bar and lobby bar. Only writing my first review to save a future reader from not enjoying a better dining experience."

"Update: they replied saying they were sorry I was unhappy with my sandwich, but they were anything BUT sorry when I brought it to their attention. Funny response.Ordered a patty melt as the picture looked better than a standard burger. I did order without onions. What I got was very, very different than what was pictured on their menu.I mentioned it to the waitress and she got the manager/owner/whoever. She came from the back, I explained that I was disappointed with it and why. I showed her the pic from her menu and she said the pictures are only suggestions. What?! YOUR pics in YOUR menu are suggestions? Well, I would suggest you make something that looks like that.Basically, it was a frozen patty on two huge slices of rye with the bacon I added and a slice of Swiss cheese. Bottom of the bread was soggy (dark brown in the pics).You can see for yourself the pics vs the menu Pic.She offered something else, but they were kind of busy and I didn 't want my new food coming out after my wife was done hersGot the check and they neither discounted nor removed the unacceptable food that I didn 't eat. When I went to the register, I asked and they got someone else from the back.To him I explained as well and he told me it was my opinion that it looked nothing like the pics. Lol. I offered to pay for a side of fries because I ate the fries while waiting, but did not wish to pay for the subpar food I did not eat. He did take the whole thing off, be he was not happy.Just honestly poor attitudes when I brought this too them. Very much more interested in telling me I was wrong rather than being apologetic and trying to fix things."

"We planned ahead and made a reservation for a party of 4 for 6:30pm on a Wednesday night. When we arrived we were told that they had given another party our table but had informed them that we had a reservation and they would have to leave in time for our reservation. When I asked her if they were almost done she said she would check. We waited outside because it was so noisy and 15 minutes later we went inside to see if our table was ready. At that point she said they were eating their deserts. We waited another 10 minutes and they finally left our table and we're able to clean it. So when everything was said and done we were seated a half hour after our reservation. Service was slow to take orders, bring added drinks or check on us. Our reservation was at 6:30, we were seated at 7 and finally walked out at 8:45pm. They need to stick to reservations and keep better contact with their guests. Food was really good."

"This is one of my favorite restaurants. The food always impresses, and the service is consistently excellent, with most of the servers being very friendly. I highly recommend it for date nights, family gatherings, girls' nights out, and more. They also have a versatile hall for any occasion that has just reopened, and the view is lovely. We recently celebrated my daughter's birthday there, and she absolutely loved it, as did we. We thoroughly enjoyed the pistachio cannoli, which is a new addition to the dessert menu. We can't wait to go back!"

"This is a place for cheese steaks and frits. I love the staff they are always warm and welcoming. It's a nice family restaurant. "I like this place, but both times I have gone, service, timing, and availability of food have been pretty poor.First visit- around 5pm on a Friday night. Server informed us they were out of the appetizer we ordered, and when my husband ordered the salmon, the server said he had to run to the kitchen to put it in because there was only one salmon dish left.. when everyone was on their second beer order, we were informed something had happened to the beer taps and they only had bottles. The food was fine, but nothing notable.The latest occasion visiting was for brunch, which i understand they have only recently started- it seems there are a lot of kinks to work out. Our appetizers came out in a timely manner, but we wanted an hour and a half for our food- and our server was no where to be found. We also noticed that other guests also had no food on their tables and were looking around too, seemingly for their server. Our party ordered mostly toasts, salads, and yogurt parfaits- nothing requiring major cooking time. We also had babies in the party and certainly wish they were at least served their yogurt, as babies aren’t going to stay seated waiting that long to be fed. Since server was not visible, we were unable to order any second rounds of drinks or coffees while we sat waiting. The food was fine when it finally came out, and no apology or any recognition from our server as to what took so long. Don’t think anything there is worth going back for"

"I ordered the surf and turf and my wife ordered the lobster, shrimp and scallop diavolo. I want to first say we always try new places that we have not been before. Prices where reasonable especially for the way the economy is going today. The food was sub par. To the point where my heritage is in question. My great grandfather would see the flaws as did I. The cooks cooked my meal to long the fish was ok but overcooked the steak wayyyy overcooked and lacked flavor. My wife's food was underwhelming considering the hype we have been given by others who have been here. I was told it was traditional Italian. I have a very rich Italian history and it is not at all. Where is the fresh bread not store bought sliced bread? Where is the robust flavors. I hate to say this but Olive Garden is a better opportunity and option. They are at least closer but not really authentic the way they claim to be. Call #cheframsey. They need an overhaul and breath life back into this place and the food. The server was the saving grace of our experience and shevdid well because of staffing shortages. Due to our meal being sub par she did give us dessert to bring home. She did her job and might I add maybe over worked. The to go containers..... well cardboard and flimsy is not great in the fridge at home."

"This brewery serves excellent seafood and dinners. I got the grilled Mediterranean Haddock, and it was exceptionally good. The crab and lobster rolls are also very delicious (according to the rest of my party), and the Steak Tip Poutine has such an awesome depth of flavor (Thanks for the descriptive language, Dad). The prices are reasonable, even cheap, for that high quality of seafood. This by far deserves five stars. Beers are reasonable prices as well. Great scenery; outstanding brewery!"

"I went recently for breakfast. It was not busy at the time of our arrival. The positives of the experience include that the food was good enough. It was very reminiscent of an average diner breakfast. The server also had a pleasant attitude. The negatives of the visit include that despite the friendly atmosphere, service was slow and basic requests were either late to be fulfilled or not at all. I had asked for artificial sweetener for my coffee right after the first cup was poured and our server brought it with my meal, so I had to wait to drink my now warm coffee while waiting for breakfast. I had four toast slices with my breakfast and it took two to use to eat with my eggs, so I requested a jelly for my final two slices. The jelly never came. While overall that would not have made the visit too bad, what really bothered me was the price. My 2 egg meal is advertised as coming with a meat, home fries/hash browns, and toast for 8.50. Our server asked if I'd like onions in my home fries and I said yes. At the end, looking at the bill, I noticed my breakfast was 8.50 and then the home fries added 2 and the onions added .50. I also never received more than a single cup of coffee, which is a first in all my substantial diner experience. Overall, two of us had two basic breakfasts and two coffees and the total price was 35. That is far too expensive for an average diner breakfast. Overall I give it 3 stars generously, but I would not personally return."
