"I'm really disappointed. The only vegetables in my Szechuan tofu were peas and chunks of carrots, along with some raw onion, which may have come from the fried rice. That fried rice had the same limited vegetables and was a bright neon yellow—without any egg. How is this considered Chinese food? There were no bok choy, bamboo shoots, mushrooms, snow peas, broccoli, water chestnuts, peppers, or sprouts—none of the usual staples. That said, the food, given the ingredients, was well-prepared. The tofu wasn’t fried, but it was added at the right time, so it held its shape. Nothing was burned, overcooked, too salty, or greasy. It was just a disappointing meal that was still competently made."
