"I can't recommend this restaurant. It seems like it was better years ago, but it has consistently underwhelmed me lately. Most recently, I ordered beef and broccoli and shrimp with snow peas. The beef was full of fat and tendons, making some pieces tough and unappealing. The shrimp was flavorless and had an unpleasant texture. These were part of the lunch specials that included fried rice, but since I’m not a fan of fried rice, I requested lo mein instead. Unfortunately, they provided a very small portion of lo mein with the meal. I could share more examples of disappointing dishes, and on top of that, the staff isn’t very friendly. While this may be the closest Chinese restaurant to me, I will definitely be ordering from somewhere else in the future."

"Excellent customer service! They’re really nice about taking your order, give options and re ask to make sure you get the right order. The food’s pretty clean not a bunch of grease. And very reasonably priced too. Gf liked her veg lo mein and my ribs were pretty good. Not a lot of honey or sugar flavor but really solid. I’m sure there’s nothing bad on the menu and definitely will be back ."

"My first impression of this Chinese place in Livermore was pretty good. I liked the intro page on the menu. Afterall, if you are going to have a multipage menu anyway then why not? It really is something more resturants should consider (or having a single page menu). Also the ambience set up by the environment and the relaxing music was pleasant. With that being said the meal was alright. The soup and salad that came with my meal was a nice transistion into my main dish. The sweet and sour pork was cooked how I like it, but I ordered the fried rice and I really can't recommend it. It was good as normal rice, but as fried rice it really fails miserably. Still liked the place. Give it a go."

"Ordering from Fortune Hawaii has sadly been the worst experiences for pickup orders and customer service that I’ve ever seen. I’ve ordered several items on their menu, on a few occasions. Everything looked unappetizing and tasted like it was old, not to mention the meals meant to be hot we’re all so cold, like it could have been out of the fridge. I’ve only ordered here because I’m visiting a friend and it’s fast and convenient but we are no longer going to. The gentleman receiving the calls is not friendly at all and has only ever been completely rude to us. I called to ask what was in the pu pu platter since one of the meats looked like canned spam. I was put on hold right after I told him it was cold. Hung up every time I called back. They don’t deal with complaints whatsoever apparently, forget a refund or new order. I understand that it is a lot of work to run a restaurant or food business but this is poorly managed and poor quality. Very disappointed and do not recommend."

"I love this place! This is by far the BEST Chinese restaurant. The food is incredibly delicious and the meat has a fantastic favor and texture and if we order something fried, there are more meat than fried dough! Everything is cooked to perfection, and we are happy to drive the distance to ensure that our meal is not disappointed! The staff are also amazing to interact with and help you make the right choice about food and drinks! You can't go wrong with this restaurant choice!"

"This might just be the worst Chinese restaurant in the world. Upon entering, you see a small dining area with a couple of park benches. The counter is covered in plexiglass, pieced together with what I can only describe as pieces of 2x4 found in an alley. There’s a SMALL opening big enough only for your credit card, and you’re expected to sign the slip and put it in a bowl of all other customers’ slips. Really, really weird.I ordered vegetable Lo Mein, which was simply a bowl of noodles with maybe 4 snow peas. Also ordered the beef Chow Mein which came with no noodles, and virtually no beef. It is ALL onions. Also ordered a side of spring rolls. No sweet and sour, no soy sauce, no mustard, no utensils. All the “food” is incredibly bland and extremely overpriced for what you actually get. This place is an incredible rip-off, and quite possibly the worst restaurant in all of Williamsburg. Avoid at all costs!!!"

"Yes, Thai food again. Decided to treat my daughter to sushi (which I can only afford to do with a lunch special) Thai. The sushi was spot on! It was so delicious?THE SUSHI WAS SO DELICIOUS! Soooo good had to say it twice. Shame I didn?t have cash to tip the sushi conveyor belt. The Thai food meh, not that impressed. The hot and sour soup was tasty: though my daughter wasn?t a fan of the veggie roll. Both of our Thai dishes were just okay. I still highly recommend checking them out especially during their lunch special times. Though I would stick to the sushi."

"The prices at this restaurant don't reflect the quality or quantity of the food served. For a $14 Mongolian beef dish, one would expect a substantial amount of beef. However, the container was mostly filled with sauce and onions, with only a sparse amount of beef mixed in. Searching for the meat felt like an ordeal, as I had to sift through an overwhelming amount of chopped onion. It's just not acceptable to charge such high prices and serve such meager portions. Additionally, the flavor did not live up to the price tag. The other items were average at best. Overall, I ended up spending nearly $50 for a beef dish, an appetizer, lo mein, and fried rice—definitely not worth it. I won't be returning."

"Our only disappointment was with the chicken curry, which we ordered because my husband doesn't like vegetables in his meals. This was the first time we encountered a chicken curry that had more veggies than meat, and it was largely filled with broccoli. After removing the broccoli, the spice and flavor of the curry were delightful. The Chinese vegetables provided a nice complement and were offered in a reasonable quantity. However, the broccoli shouldn't have been the main ingredient. Since this is just a personal preference, we’re still giving them 4 stars. We’ll definitely ask them to hold the broccoli next time. If you’re like my husband and not a fan of broccoli, consider ordering something else or just asking them to skip it. We can’t wait for our next visit! (By the way, the website listed is not theirs—the Google link takes you to the Grand China Hotel.)"

"First of all, I used Google to search for a Chinese restaurant, and the first one that came up was 'Mandarin Wok,' along with many others. I decided to give it a try, and I was really impressed. The food was delicious and still hot by the time I got home, which was fantastic. I ordered the House Special fried rice, boneless BBQ ribs, and two of their house-made egg rolls, along with some iced tea, which was incredibly refreshing. I highly recommend 'Mandarin Wok' for quick and tasty food. It was my first time ordering from them, and I will definitely be ordering again soon. Thanks to Google for helping me find this gem!"

"Recently called in for a pick-up. The guy who took the order was fine and confirmed the order price and how long it would take. When I arrived, the place looked nothing like the photos in Maps. It was boarded up, I guess due to the pandemic, or maybecrime concerns, not sure. A woman came to the boarded up window, no greeting or anything and blurted: Did you place an order? Isaid yes. I then asked whether they would reopen, she was abrupt and said Not sure . She processed my payment and then justthrew the card and receipt in the bin. Turned and left. No thank you, no good afternoon. I guess being boarded up means youwill be rude and unprofessional. The food was over-priced and average. Won 't be returning."

"I’m hoping this review makes some think twice or ask questions before sitting down at Nigel’s on a Monday. We stopped by for lunch last Monday. We were greeted and seated right away, given a menu and our drink orders taken right out the gate. When drink were delivered and we looked through the menu the waitress informed us that Nigel’s was out of some items. Those items included pretty much ever side dish on the menu. Mashed potatoes, potato salad, Mac cheese, yams, Lima beans, stewed chicken, cornbread and cobbler. I’m thinking why would you even be open or why not have a sign on the door, why seat us start to serve us and then basically tell us you have only French fries, rice, and grits before you locked us in and started delivering services? My husband orders pasta and I went with a hamburger steak and white rice with gravy. My food came out and the patty was kinda loose or breaking apart when it was plated, about a quarter of the way in the inside of the patty was RAW. I call the waitress over she removed the plate immediately when she came back the kitchen decided that in place of my hamburger steak that had peppers and onions mixed in they would give me a regular kids size hamburger patty and then put a few onions on top of it. Needless to say I was offended. I left the plate untouched and asked for the check. The waitress asked what was wrong and asked if I was unpleased because the kitchen manager gave me a small hamburger in place of what I ordered. I expressed all of my concerns even about being bait and switched from the time we walked in. The waitress said Mondays are rough because they don’t have people to prep after being off on Sundays and they have a truck delivery on Mondays so they are often out of stock on Mondays. I won’t be back waitress was great, everything else about Nigel’s makes me wish we had spent our money with a business that is prepared and professional. This is an example why so many don’t keep dollars in our own community."

"When I arrived, the older woman at the front completely ignored me for the first five minutes. When I finally managed to ask about my order, she ignored me again until I had to raise my voice and say “hello?” Only then did she respond, telling me it would be just a few minutes, which ended up being ten. I will never return. Edit: If you want to twist the narrative, at least acknowledge the reality of the situation. I showed up at 5:04 PM for my pickup. I have screenshots from another customer to back that up. I left at 5:18 PM, having waited while a man in glasses cooked, a young man walked about, and the older woman bagged items. I stood there until she finished bagging and walked away. When I tried to get her attention, saying “excuse me” into the microphone, she didn’t respond. She returned five minutes later. During that time, you dispatched a delivery driver who was waiting after I had already arrived. Another woman there was ignored for just as long. According to the customer, he ordered his food at 4:42 PM. If you choose to ignore your patrons, don’t be surprised when they don’t feel friendly—especially when your customer service is sorely lacking. Even after waiting for ten minutes, I asked for an update and was told it would be just a few minutes more, only to wait another ten. Just because I wasn't a regular patron doesn’t mean I wasn’t worthy of courteous service. Deliberately ignoring someone and then laughing about it only invites negative feedback. Your customer service needs serious improvement, as it was unwelcoming, rude, condescending, and unprofessional. It’s no wonder your reviews hover around a 3.8."
