"When my wife and I entered the restaurant and approached the hostess stand. We were not addressed for about 3 minutes. The staff continued to converse with each other while we waited to check in for our reservation. After being seated, we waited for 15 minutes before being addressed, or even served water. Eventually, a manager saw were hadn't been helped and gave us water and took an initial order for us. The spicy chips and salsa were very good. However, it's a small amount of salsa that cost $5. I enjoyed the shrimp and avocado cocktail. This appetizer is supposed to be eaten with saltine crackers, but they only provided a total of 4 crackers between my wife and I. I ordered the steak fajita as my entree. It was definitely underwhelming. It didn't include an assortment of onions, peppers and other vegetables like you would expect from a Mexican restaurant. Also, the steak was very tough, which made it feel as if I was chewing all night. It also didn't include any rice or beans. They provided one small order of rice and beans for the table to share. My wife ordered the Chile Relleno, as it was a recommended option. It definitely wasn't a good option, as we sent it back. Overall, Mi Casa has good drinks, a good ambience within the restaurant, and good appetizers. Other than that, I wouldn't recommend this restaurant for any serious dining."
