"I visited this restaurant with my elderly mother for an early dinner at 5:45 PM on June 22. Unfortunately, it was raining, so we chose to sit indoors. I’m from DC, so I’m not a fan of the constant rain. Fortunately, there’s convenient parking nearby, which made the weather less of an issue. I was surprised that the restaurant wasn’t busy, perhaps it was too early for dinner.
The service was excellent—attentive and knowledgeable without being intrusive. My mom ordered the scallops, which she found to be fantastic. They were served with deconstructed potatoes, which looked quite interesting on the plate. I ordered a Kobe burger that was very tasty, though it was on the pricier side compared to what I expected. We also tried a beet and quinoa appetizer, which was enjoyable, but it had a bit too much quinoa; it could have used more beets and feta to balance the flavors. Additionally, I had a strawberry spinach salad that was disappointing due to an excess of dressing.
The views from the restaurant were lovely, and we even saw a couple taking wedding photos on the dock during a lull in the rain. The restaurant has a somewhat unfortunate vibe of being part of a hotel, which detracts from the overall experience, preventing it from achieving five stars. However, the food was good, and the prices were nearly reasonable, so I would give it a rating of four stars and would consider dining here again."
