"The reviews here seem suspect, at least based on their cones. Beware! Went there on a recent Monday night at 9pm. A full hour before closing. Walked in and asked for a small mint chip on a sugar cone, my go to carvel order, having ordered it probably over 200 times among dozens of locations. The person working the counter a young woman perhaps around 18 or 19 years old looked for a scooper. Then went to the sink area, pulled one out of a small cylindrical container with dirty scoopers, and seemed to just rub it with her finger under some water. No soap, no glove, just kind of casually rinsing as you might do at home. But I really wanted carvel so this review isn 't really about that. Whether out of sheer exhaustion or lack of wrist muscles or lack of training she proceeded to give me two curls of ice cream. Not scoops. She used the scooper till the ice cream lightly curled over (probably about an ounce or so, of a hallow partially formed scoop), and did it twice. The result? For $5.50 or so the smallest small cone I 've eve gotten at Carvel. I would never ever ever go here again, which is a shame because the ice cream itself was good, not gritty, nice and creamy, classic Carvel mint. PS, there 's no view here so at least that 5 star review is fake."
