"Overall, we had a pleasant experience at Sierra Mar. The dishes were expertly prepared and full of flavor, and the staff was quite accommodating regarding dietary restrictions. The view is definitely the highlight of the restaurant; situated on a hill, the stunning vistas of the ocean, cliffs, and sunset create a beautiful atmosphere. However, there were a couple of disappointments during our visit. While our server was seating another table, they wished them "happy anniversary" multiple times and engaged in friendly conversation, yet we were not offered the same acknowledgment despite having noted our own celebration in the reservation. It's worth mentioning that we are a same-sex couple, while the other table was not. Additionally, our server offered extra bread to a table behind us but failed to extend that same offer to us. The disparity in service was quite noticeable and somewhat marred our experience, despite the excellent food and setting."
