"celebrated my birthday with family on Sunday, 18:00 clock reservation. the restaurant has a modern, modern design, beautiful lighting and quiet ambiente. service was friendly, professional and attentive. eating was great! we started with their delicious warm house made flat brot with butter and oliventampenade. we stopped after two orders so we wouldn't fill on bread! all five of us have decided on the 4-course tasting menu, and we all really enjoyed our whole meal. I started with the baked garnel “À la Escargot”, juicy garnel in garlic butter baked, served with their flat brot to enjoy the butter...a winner! the ceasar salad came with speck and Parmesan cheese, and my entree lamb shank “Tajine”, was tender, well fed and impressively presented! my dessert from vanilleeis, two chocolate chip cookies and a wonderful chocolate sauce was the perfect way to finish the meal! I also highly recommend the scallops risotto, hamakua mushroom, “Vialone nano Rice”! we are coming back in definitiw!"

"I got the AINA PACK and it was really good, a lot of different flavors and proteins and not to mention the two sides. The only thing was when I got to my salmon katsu I stopped(towards end of my meal) as only parts of it were cooked and the thicker pieces were crispy on the outside but mushy on the inside , as the salmon was not evenly cooked , but just warmed. I’d definitely give it another shot, but will try it as dine in so I can ensure my entire meal can be eaten in one sitting as intended I’ll only eat raw fish or fully cooked no in between (warm). That’s why I’m doing 3 stars for now."

"Talk about hidden gems. I have heard about this place, but didn't pay much attention because I was never really sure where it was. Just by chance, the family had finished going on a tour of Iolani Palace and were hungry for lunch. Well there it was, right across the street in the YWCA building on Richards. Of course, to was the stanchion signs that caught our attention in front of the Y's entrance.The building is a cool historic building that has a court yard that the restaurant shares for outdoor seating, but they do have a main dinning room and bar area. Lots of great natural lighting from window that almost hit the tall ceiling. Felt like something you'd find in a historic Latin city somewhere else in the world.Menu offers an assortment of full plate dishes, to sandwiches and salads. It's not vast, but there is a good assortment to fit anyone's tastebuds or appetite. It isn't a cheap eat type of place, but prices are not bad for the quality and type of dishes being offered as well as the nicer setting. Of course, we had great service as well.I had the garlic ahi sandwich that had a nice sized fish filet that was perfectly cooked and plated. The Salmon Ochazuke was also ordered and it was beautifully plated presentation that words just can't describe. Also, a Chinese Chicken Salad which was of fairly large proportions, but nothing unique by design.The place is located on the edge of the downtown professional business district, so I can imaging that it can get very busy. It was a late lunch for us being after 1pm, so it was calm and there were lots of seating options. It would probably be best to get their early or after the lunch time rush hour to be able to fully enjoy your meal there."

"808 is one of my all time top 10 favorite restaurants! And that’s saying a lot because I EAT. The portions are huge so you WILL have leftovers. But have no fear, those will be the most delicious leftovers you’ve ever saved yourself. We don’t eat pork so the Chicken Combo is always a go-to in my house. "We arrived to find out there are seating times, an the next one was in another 3 hrs.... I counted a total of 7 people at 3 tables. Due to low staff. We ordered, and walked down the street for some Gelato. Upon returning, we were greeted with our order.
