"L'Auberge Chez Francois is always excellent. Great service, great ambiance and great food. The Prix Fix menu is worth it for the total experience. The waiter was busy so the service was a little spotty. But he made up for it in the end. They were out of the special, Beef Wellington : but the seafood bouillabaisse was an excellent substitute. The medium well tenderloins were more like medium but still excellent. Appetizers were perfectly prepared and were excellent. We skipped the souffles this time, The chocolate tart was a little dry but perfectly paired with a dollop of ice cream. The plum tart was not my fav skin was tough) but the cinnamon ice cream and whipped cream made up for it. We'll be back."

"I haven't eaten here yet ...I'm still deciding which restaurant to go to. However, I did call to ask several questions and the front desk host Jennifer assisted me. She had very good service on the phone , kind in tone, and knowledgeable. I'm from WI so I'm very confused trying to understand downtown Chicago . She helped explain things very well. I may just come here based solely on her phone manner and service. Yes, I will judge a restaurant by who picks up the phone and how they respond to me (as I am a 20 year restaurant service industry veteran . The person on the end of the line is just as important as the person bringing you your drinks/food. She deserves a raise ! :"

"I went with a group for a birthday. It was the worst service any of us had ever experienced. Our waiter only took a couple of drink orders and then left for more than 20 minutes before we checked in to take the rest of the table order. For the food we had to tell him that we had to order. Then he took 4 orders, went away and didn't come back. When we got him to come back after telling several other workers we needed to complete the order, he forgot that he had taken the first orders. He finally took a few more orders and went, again not to every person at the table. It took 2 hours in total and the food came out at all different times. We were all honestly very confused about what was happening throughout our dinner."
