"I finally made it to Nick's German Kitchen, and it was just as incredible as I'd hoped! We started with the weekend special appetizers: Bavarian bratwurst paired with bacon-fried potatoes and creamy sauerkraut, as well as pilzknödel, a bread dumpling served in a rich mushroom sauce. My husband ordered the weekend special entrée of schweinebraten, which included a delicious pork roast, a bread dumpling, beer gravy, and apple red cabbage. I opted for the Jägerschnitzel from the regular menu — a breaded pork cutlet accompanied by homemade spaetzle and creamy mushroom sauce. Having tasted my grandmother's cooking and traveled to Germany, I can honestly say their spaetzle is some of the best I've ever had! While the prices are on the higher side, the experience is absolutely worthwhile. We dined outdoors and enjoyed cozy, warm blankets, which added to the lovely atmosphere. We were too full to try the strudel, but we took home a slice of Black Forest cake that looked just as amazing as everything we had tasted!"
