"One of the worst meals we've had in Aiken. We ordered a Margherita pizza, a cup of mushroom soup, and a beer. The pizza was terrible — barely any cheese, maybe a teaspoon of basil, and a cloying sweet tomato puree. We did not bother eating more than a few bites. The soup was pretty good (thus two stars). "I love the pizza at Mellow Mushroom. I have eaten in many of their locations across the country and although there were a few issues when it first opened, it is a great restaurant. There are lots of choices for vegans, in addition to lots of veggie they offer vegan cheese, flavored tofu and tempeh. I really like the deep dish with BBQ tempeh, pineapple and green peppers- delicious! However, they sometimes put too much cheese on for me so I now always order with light cheese The service is generally good, some servers are better than others, and sometimes the service can be slow. Otherwise it’s my favorite place to get vegan pizza in Sarasota!"

"We ordered the House pizza and meatballs. I liked the red sauce and the toppings were great and fresh. I wasn't excited about the gluten free crust, it was not hand tossed, dry, hard, super thin and tasteless. Our service was rather slow. "My husband and I ate at Mellow Mushroom today having done our research to learn that they offer vegan-adaptable meal options. In fact, we read an article that said MM intends to publish a vegan-options menu in the future. Our waitress accommodated our request making sure the bread and cheese was vegan without acting as if it were any extra trouble. It's so nice to know that more restaurants are welcoming people who follow a plant-based diet. The food was delicious! We'll be back! We highly recommend it!"

"We were promptly seated at a table on the right side of the restaurant, where we had a view of the kitchen, bar, and the bustling waitstaff. Our server, Alex, was attentive and provided great recommendations. She took our drink orders and then our pizza orders. We opted for their specialty pizzas, with half of them being the Wild Havana and Pacific Rim varieties, and the other half being cheese and Italian sausage. The pizzas were delicious, with flavorful toppings and a great crust. Alex continued to provide excellent service throughout our meal, ensuring that we had everything we needed. Overall, we had a fantastic dining experience and will definitely be returning on our next visit. Great job, Alex!"

"While in the area over the holidays, we stopped here for a small bite and brew. We enjoyed a small pizza w/ pepperoni with.a very robust flavor. We also had pretzel bites with the cheese dip. They serve Diet Coke, which is always a consideration for me when choosing a restaurant. Our refill was 'to go ' which was nice. I want to thank the manager who stopped by our table to ask us how things were. We were addressed as ladies, not 'guys ' as is so often the case, which was very nice to hear."

"Please make sure to double check your order for any cheese and make sure they didn't add butter or Parmesan to the crust. More often than not, I've received dairy in my food. I have stopped ordering pizza and now only get salads. I recently gave this place another try, emphasizing multiple times that I wanted a vegan meal. They assured me it would be vegan. However, when the food was ready, the girl informed me that there was mayonnaise in the tempeh. This is not okay. They offered to fix it, but it would take 30 minutes. I decided to leave instead. "Amazing! This was my first time here and I was not prepared for this pizza. This was, no exaggeration, the best pizza I’ve ever had. I’m almost 28 and I’ve eaten pizza at thousands of places including Germany, Paris, and Austria. This pizza is the best I ever had, hands down. I had the new BBQ pizza and the pork on it was perfectly cooked, the BBQ was fantastic, and everything else was on point. Also, Kyle is a great server, we liked him. I’ll be back here as soon as I can again!"

"I had a very disappointing experience at this downtown restaurant. The kitchen was slow and served burnt food. When I went to the bar, one of the bartenders named Alexis was quite rude. I felt overlooked as no one greeted us, and many of the waitstaff were just sitting at the front station, drinking and watching TV. I think I’ll stick to the one in Evans or make the trip to Atlanta in the future. My team and I were in downtown for a business meeting, and it was a terrible experience overall."
