"We were greeted on the door by a energetic young man Malik Arjun who seated us right away. We had gone there at an odd time of 230 pm. He helped us pick what to order. He even brought us appetizers for free since they were wrapping up the buffet. He ensured that our food was made quickly and delivered promptly. So he gets 10 on 10 on service.Now talking about the food, It was on point... delicious and flavorful. We ordered Mysore masala dosa, Utpam, Goat Sukha with Naan. All the items were excellent. Peanut chutney very yum. Sambar could have been hotter. Missed coconut chutney. The place was clean, appropriately decorated and seemed reasonably well maintained. I found out that the owners were software engineers and were doing this on the side. The lady (owner) was professional and very good to talk to. We also bought some sweets and pastries to eat at home. Haven't tried them yet. Overall, I would say excellent experience. We were hungry and have high standards for food and this place delivered."

"Yummy! I haven't had Thai food in such a long time and after exploring the surrounding area, my fiancé and I decided to try this place out. Service is excellent. We were greeted at the front door and our waitress was delightful. We told her that we wanted spicy dishes and she recommend we get 3x the spice level. If you love spicy food, I highly recommend you try the curries with the highest spice level; it's creamy, mouthwatering delicious. We had the Pad Thai and the Panang Curry for our main dishes and the chicken satay as an appetizer. The Pad Thai was a bit too sweet for my liking but the satay came with an insanely delicious peanut sauce. We ended up ordering more of the peanut sauce to eat with our main dishes. Prices are a tad bit steep for the area, but I guess this is the new norm. Highly recommend, till next time!"

"Very disappointed with the customer service I was given by one of the ladies who works there . She was very rude and disrespectful to me . There was a miscommunication on there end regarding something I had ordered . I never said anything to them except told them I they gave me something else than what I ordered. The lady came to me and confronted me and accusing me of something I didn’t say . It’s on their end they had a miscommunication. I am really disappointed at the way I was treated so disrespectfully. I really liked their food but very sad and disappointed on how I was treated . She should be trained on how to talk to a customer and how to treat a paying customer."

"Decor and ambience was very cool. Very inviting. We sat at the bar so we wouldn't have to wait. Someone helped us right away with drinks, appetizers, etc. She was very helpful and very attentive. We went all out and got some cocktails, beer, and sake bombs. The menu had a decent selection of drink options but alot of it was unavailable, which is understandable given the current supply chain issue. For appetizers we opted for the edamame (always a classic, always good),Thai coconut shrimp (to die for, a must of you're looking for a great app), and beef negimaki (I probably wouldn't order it again but I'm glad I tried it). Sooo many choices for Sushi Rolls! The problem with that is, you don't know what'sactually good! We ordered the Chef's special roll, Jaguar roll, Honey roll, and the table side presented Fire roll. I give these rolls a 3 out of 5, unfortunately. Presentation was good, I probably just failed to order the right ones thatwould personally hit the spot. We wanted to try one of the Thai main dishes so we selected the Pad Thai. One of my favorite noodle dishes. Wu's House did it justice. I'd say 4 out of 4. Enough tang and sweetness to satisfy my tastebuds! From the hibachi grill we got the steak, shrimp, and salmon combo with a couple of sides of golden sauce (aka egg yolk sauce). I'd say it was what to be expected of the hibachi presentation. Overall it was a great experience, goodservice, and good food! I would definitely go back to give the sushi rolls another chance."

"I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant! The service was excellent, the atmosphere was relaxing, and the interior was clean. I’ve noticed some people complaining about delays in their orders, but honestly, that seems to be a common issue everywhere these days due to staff shortages. I usually visit for lunch and really enjoy the hot tea—they serve the real thing, not just tea bags. The salad and dressing are always fresh, and I absolutely love the sesame chicken. The lo mein is the best I've ever had, and the sushi is delicious as well! This place feels like a hidden gem to me."

"I always order the Thai red curry from the appetizer menu at Jin Asian because it's my favorite dish. The staff already knows our order as soon as we walk in the door - I get it "huh" style, while my fiancé gets it with extra bark, and we both have mushrooms added. We also love the crab rangoon with apricot-based sauce, which is delicious. It's one of our favorite meals in the city. The restaurant is never crowded and the service is always very friendly."

"Disappointing for the price. Spent $50 for dinner for 2. Got wonton soup... not sure what we actually got but it was not wonton soup. I had the lemon chicken and was not able to even eat all of it due to how overcooked and thin it was. Got 1 box of rice to split. Not sure if it was fried rice or not, just brown and bland. The beef and broccoli was okay. We got egg rolls and no sauce was to be found for them. Pick up only is available no dine in, in fact you ring a door bell and they open the door and pass your food to you very quickly."

"I'm really disappointed with the decline in quality at Hibiscus. The food has gotten worse, and they keep raising the prices. Recently, my dad, who has been buying fried rice from there for years, had a terrible experience with stale and cold rice. It made him sick for a whole week. I strongly advise against eating there because the quality has seriously gone down, and it can be a risk to your health. The restaurant has a dirty and cramped atmosphere, and the staff is always rude and inattentive. Hibiscus used to be the best West Indian restaurant in Queens Village, but now it's not doing well. It's important not to support a place that serves bad and old food. I also found out that the restaurant received nine violations from the New York State Health Department on January 25, 2023. These violations include things like not having the proper food safety certification, not properly cleaning food contact surfaces, having evidence of mice, not maintaining proper food temperatures, and not keeping the establishment free from pests. They also had issues with dishwashing and sanitization of utensils and equipment."

"I had an extremely disappointing experience due to the poor customer service from the manager. I ordered what I believed to be fried rice, but was served plain white rice instead. To make matters worse, the owner refused to issue a refund, which feels incredibly unfair. The overall ethics of this establishment are lacking. The rice was bland and tasteless, and the owner didn't handle the situation professionally at all. I felt a sense of racial profiling as an African American customer. I've seen other reviews mentioning the owner’s willingness to refund, but my experience was far from that. I cannot recommend this restaurant at all; it deserves zero stars. "A friend and I ordered to go we ordered several items, 2 entrees and 3 appetizers. We were completely dissatisfied and disappointed with the food. When I called Thai garden they treated me as if I did not know what golden tofo is I explained I did, that I have several post with golden tofu from other local restaurants as well that I'm a chef, with true culinary art training. The woman argued about the tofu, Stating it supposed to be white (not golden tofu, golden tofu is fried and comes to rich golden color making a crisp outside to the the tender white tofu, aka bean curd). After I stated what golden tofu was I also explained it's not acceptable to have food laying in a 1inch of oil. The woman then asked me about the rest of the food. My friend ate 4 bites of her Chicken fried rice and got sick, I ate 2 bites of rice and got sick. I returned the food, and the lady gave me back $4.00 for the Golden tofu. Next time I won't return it I will just take food to health department and show them. I support local You would to think in a COVID time service would be better and food should most definitely be. Very disappointing that was both of our first time eating there. Never will again."

"In and order 1 plate and 2 egg rolls. They were fast to get my order out, bagged and stacked. I was home in no time. Howvever, when I came home, I missed 1 egg roll. I called immediately and they asked me if I wanted to come back and get the egg roll that they forgot to put in my bag or a credit for the next time. I was hesitant to take a loan because I just don't trust that I would get it the next time, nor was I sure I would even go back. I asked the lady on the phone if I had an extra egg roll for my effort to drive all the way back to get 1 egg roll and she said Sure. I'm going all the way back to the restaurant and I'm going to the door and she gives me 1 egg roll. I told her that I thought they would give an extra egg roll for my troubles to have to go back and get the 1 product they left. She gave me a reluctant Ok. While I was there, a lady came in to pick up her expulsion and they give her a bag. As soon as she gets out, she comes back and informs her that they gave her someone else's order. Not sure it was a night. I was disappointed that they forgot to give me something I paid, and when they called it out, they didn't even offer something for the time and gas that I had to spend to go back and get it. I had to ask for it, and even then I didn't ask anything Extrodinary. Just an extra egg roll. And even then they forgot or tried to get it away, as it was never asked. I used to gedimt here and the food is very good and delicious. The lack of customer service I got, and the obvious carelessness they showed in their take-out service, would make me very slow to order here again. Maybe it was a night, but the place wasn't busy at all, so I'm not sure what her excuse could be. Just make sure you order to check your order before you leave the door."
