"Service and location great! Pasta was ok, appetizers ok, but we were there primarily for the pizza. They are saying they got that NY slice. Sadly, they are mistaken. While I'd say they have the seasoning you'd find in midtown, that kinda Oregano/garlicky seasoning on top of the pizza, it's overdone. Waaaayyy too salty. From bottom to top pizza-wise: we ordered the biggest they got, cheese. Bottom of the pie wasn't crispy, no crunch or bake really, doughy. The crust was inconsistent with doughy or burnt. The bubbles, no oven tending when it came to that pizza, they didn't bother to pop and fix, they let it slide through so we had entire slices that were practically one big bubble. That tells me that the dough wasn't properly proofed out or allowed to age a bit prior to them using it. The flat taste of the dough too, it lacked flavor. They used the seasoning in the sauce and on top of the cheese in an effort to cover it up, but led to the pie being waaaayy too salty. My wife was pissed. Kids weren't. They didn't know any better. I wouldn't bother with this place if your looking for an authentic pie. Pricing is damned good. That's for sure. But if your after a great pie, many many many other spots in virginia beach to go for a good slice."
