"I've died and gone to Sushi Heaven. I am not hard to please. If I get delicious food, great service and a fair price, I am a very happy camper. Sakura makes me a very, very happy girl, indeed.<br/ <br/ The ambiance is not overdone. Open beam ceilings and simple formica tabletops, calling back to the days when the restaurant space was a BBQ joint. Standard top-40 radio in the background. The openness of the dining room does lend itself to slight noise pollution, but at least you know you're not paying for decor. <br/ <br/ But we're not here to talk about silk plants and server uniforms. Let's talk about the food. Sakura offers the basics: A teriaki menu; Bento boxes; hibatchi chicken. The usual. But their Sushi menu is creative and very tasty. Last time I was there, three of us skipped the Sashimi and Nigiri and went straight to the rolls! <br/ <br/ For those with a taste for Tempura, the Stratford Roll is a must have. Shrimp, crab and spicy Japanese mayonaise rolled up tight and fried in tempura batter. A little wassabi on top makes it even better. The Tempura Maki Roll is also a highlight, stuffed with tempura shrimp, cucumber and rice. For a slight upcharge, add cream cheese to elevate it from delicious to divine.<br/ <br/ The highlight of the menu is the Spider Dragon Roll. Not only is the mix of seafood a treat, but the presentation is nothing short of stellar. A long roll wrapped in thinly sliced avacado and topped with tiny, crunchy, deep red roe it is a treat for the eyes as well as the taste buds. <br/ <br/ On busy nights sushi service can be a little slow but with tasty starters and beer, wine and Sake to keep you occupied, the wait is hardly an issue. Especially since the food is so worth the wait.<br/ <br/ We three friends had a lot of catching up to do, but no one tried to kick us out when we took up their table for over two hours. In fact, they kept our water glasses full even after we'd paid our bill. This is in stark contrast to some of the other local sushi joints which herd you in like cattle and send you on your way before the ink's dried on your credit card receipt."
