"A nice, relaxed vibe as always, but the quality of the food seems to still be declining. Once it was great Italian food, now it's just average. I'm not sure if prices have gone up, but the quality, attention to detail, and even the portion sizes have gone down. But there's nothing wrong with this place that a little more creativity and generosity can't fix!"

"I’ve been to this place twice now over several years and both time I’ve left thinking Buona Forchetta is incredibly overrated. There are so many better Italian places in San Diego and even in the South Park area. This isn’t to say it is BAD but for over $100 for two people with no alcohol, I would expect something other than just average."

"If you're looking for gluten-free options, they offer the best gluten-free pizza crust I've ever had. It has an excellent texture, delicious cherry flavor, and a satisfying chew. Both pizzas we ordered were very good, and the meatballs were fantastic as well. We visited around 2 PM, and it was quiet, so we were served quickly. We ended up with plenty of leftovers because we ordered too much, and the next day they reheated perfectly. The service was great, and while the prices were moderate—perhaps a bit on the expensive side—I wouldn't mind paying $20 for such an amazing gluten-free pizza."

"My siblings and I planned a 90th birthday celebration for our Mom. From the moment I stepped into Giorgio’s, I knew this was the perfect venue for our celebration. And working with Janet and her son Anthony was the icing on the cake. Janet was such a professional and helped me to pick out the perfect menu. With my type A personality and the worrywart that I am, I’m sure I tried her patience. But both she and Anthony remained the consummate professionals. On the day of the event, as the guests were arriving, Janet pulled me aside, looked me straight in the eye and said, we got this, go and celebrate your Momyou’re lucky to have her. Needless to say, the day turned out wonderful. From the cocktail hour with the delicious hor d’oeuvres served on the patio, to the sit down dinner in the lower dining area with choice of Rib Eye, Chicken Francese and Salmon Capri. Our guests are still raving about the restaurant and the food. This pic says it all! Again, thank you so much Janet and Anthony for helping to make my Mom’s 90th BD a day that will be in our hearts forever"

"We had an early dinner here after a Sunday matinee at SD City Ballet. We usually come here on these occasions. At that time, the restaurant is not noisy (I don’t know how it gets later in the evening or on other nights). The food is good — the pizza dough is particularly good — and the service was very attentive and prompt. The interior is stylish in an “industrial chic” kind of way, and comfortable. Good vibe. We will return."

"My husband and I went to Valente's for his birthday dinner. From the reviews I read, I expected it to be good. I have to say it was sublime. There is a lot of love and work that goes into the food. Everything is fresh... it has to be because they are so small there is not freezer space to buy in bulk! We had the octopus and mussels to start, shared a fresh made pasta dish with truffles, and he had the steak and I had the pork chop for entrees. I never knew that a pork chop could be so amazing... polenta with mascarpone, cherry and fig glaze... unbelievable. Come here. Eat, drink and forget about the world for a few hours. I'm coming back with all of my besties."
