"I love bakeries. And this one’s hard to review, based on its staple–status in the community. We got a wide selection of their baked goods, and overall were rather disappointed with the lot.Pro first: the raspberry turnover was great. Tons of flaky layers, great crunchy topping, and the raspberry filling was exceptional. Seriously, so good. The downsides: red velvet cupcake, vanilla cream cupcake, rainbow cookie, and traditional frosted cookie. The biggest let down was the icing! Clearly not dairy-based, it is the vegetable oil frosting that doesn’t get cold when you put it in the fridge. I probably would’ve preferred Cool Whip to whatever this was. On the other side, the frosting on the cookies is so incredibly sweet that it drowns out any flavor in the base cookie, if there is any. The cupcake bases were mediocre, and I found myself thinking that they were just from Walmart off the shelf. Low on sweetness, low on quality, low on flavor. Shame the raspberry turnover was an outlier."
