"Hubs and I were given a $100 giftcard to Plank so we went to check it out this past weekend. Pros: Food was delicious! Restaurant is clean and modern. We were seated quickly despite showing up a little early for our reservation. We each had a beverage, shared an appetizer and each ordered an entrée. Brussel sprouts were amazing. Highly recommend. I had the bacon wrapped shrimp and grits. It was really delicious. Hubs had the fish taco and they were also good, but not as good as my dish. The server was kind and knowledgeable. Great location, free parking nearby, lots of great shops and restaurants around as well. Cons: Server, though mostly attentive, got busier as the night went on. My cocktail ran out, and I would've ordered a new one, but I only saw her once between running out of my drink and finishing my meal. The one time she did come by, she didn't ask if I wanted another. Also, this was a birthday celebration. I made note of it in our reservation, but neither the host nor the server made any mention of our celebration. Also, the restaurant is really loud. A table behind me was loudly talking politics... boo. I do not want to think about politics on a rare dinner date with my husband. (Not the restaurant's fault though). Overall, excellent experience. Just know it's loud and busy! Definitely order the French 75 cocktail if you like gin, and the bacon wrapped shrimp and grits! Yum."

"Baltimore City Restaurant week, I love you I picked this restaurant for Winter Restaurant Week Lunch and I was very happy I did Overall I had a very very good visit. I walked in and I was greeted immediately by Kelsey. I was informed I could sit where ever I wanted to sit and on which ever level floor I chose to and they would find me and take care of me. They did just that I chose to sit on the level because it was a little warmer up there and I was able to have time to myself to catch up on my Yelp. I was given menus immediately although I already knew what I wanted. I ordered immediately and was informed that I made great selections and great selections indeed I ordered their Firecracker Shrimp appetizer and B.A.L.T. Sandwich as my entree. The appetizer was plated lovely! It was so tasty and good. The B.A.L.T. is where we ran into some problems, but before I get to that let me finish out the greatness. The French Fries that I received with my sandwich was so good that I stop eating my Shrimp Appetizer because I had to eat each and every one of those curly seasoned fries. They were so so so good! They didn't even need ketchup Now, this B.A.L.T. Sandwich was so sad I think I saw it crying on my plate. I got scrawny piece of bacon for each half. They gave me the entire head of lettuce and I opted not to get the avocado and mayo but miserable piece of bacon on each half... heartbreaking For that reason this place gets a Only reason I didn't give them a is because the young lady that assisted (Kelsey) was fantastic! She was so sweet and kind. She came at the right time all the time and each time she needs to see me she had to run upstairs to check on little old me and appeared to have no problem with it. I would definitely eat there again but no way in hell would I order that B.A.L.T. sandwich Ultimately worth a visit !!"

"Went out looking for vegan bar/pub grub, and found it. Ended up getting the falafel burger with some tots. Read a review here that said something to the effect of, it can 't be REALLY vegan they fry it in the same oil as everything else! ...I live in a place that you 're lucky to have options that you can count on more than one hand, that don 't involve salad and fries as an entree. So, I 'm not going to complain when I find some place that 's at least trying to make something vegan. I realize my opinion isn 't the most popular, but I 'm of the mind that, if you punish an establishment for trying, then said establishment might quit trying. Anyway, on to the food... They replaced the yogurt sauce with their house vegan mayo, which was pretty tasty. Love the fact that they gave me a huge dill spear with my burger. The tots were hot, crispy, and perfectly salted. Burger was well seasoned, stuck together reasonably well, wasn 't overly greasy, had good texture....was just good. Good produce topping it off on some sourdough bread, since their buns contain honey. Kinda wish I 'd ordered the mock duck tacos, just to check them out, but really not at all displeased with my selection. Beer selection was excellent. Staff were pretty damned good, considering they were reasonably busy. Had a pint and a burger, nice conversation with the locals, and moved on within an hour or so. This is an experience I 'd repeat, if only to try those tacos :"

"I usually enjoy at least monthly and have brought a lot of dates. Usually good but entirely different tonight.Noticed on the salad there was hardly any pulled chicken (supposed to be $6 worth — think about that … you’d expect a nice generous hunk. Sorry to say the same re smallest pieces of bacon — that you had to seek and find. Maybe 6 small 1/2 pieces if that.So sad that those items were basically garnishes and not the reason the salad existed. Exactly same with partner’s salad as was the same choice.Noise level was mind boggling — seemed clientele was yelling and laughing — clearly unmannered. Staff found it hard to communicate but had to act like it wa alright. Females having to shout the evenings specials and me trying to read their lips. ?? This wasn’t a game night — so get some noise absorption investment made and installed. It’s miserable and has leaned toward this through the years when busy.Do hope owners consider investing in some sound baffling. It’s worse than an amusement park under the rollercoaster.TV over the bar tuned on a boxing match (no one is choreographing the bar experience and the bar help is slammed and can’t come up for air) and another TV had poker game — forgotten media and no standard.I asked hostess to find some baseball just for some visual peaceful-ness? They did.Sesame bread usually good but over done tonight. Hard brown/black edge and tough.Won’t go back for a long while and not when the riff raff is yelling at the tables by the front door. They would not let up. Was it too early? 5 pm. What’s wrong? Those who know how to behave in a nice setting don’t seem to be the clientele there. The more genteel couples on double dates annoyed too.Tip: ladies and gentlemen serving ladies and gentlemen. Remember that one? Nice innocent wait staff but where are you getting the boisterous patrons who are drinking before or being over-servedBartenders attracting them?"
