"I absolutely love this restaurant, and I can’t believe I only discovered it this year! The minimal English here initially made me think the food might be mediocre, but I quickly realized that’s not the case. It seems like English speakers sometimes don’t bring their best culinary offerings. So far, I haven't encountered a single dish I didn't enjoy. The enchiladas are my go-to, but there are so many amazing options on the menu. The doña sauce is simply perfection! Oh, and make sure to order the ananas agua fresca if you enjoy something refreshing—it’s truly delicious. Just a heads up, they don’t serve alcohol here, so don’t forget to bring your own!"

"The large red lamp shades make the bar side of the place more interesting. Decent Mexican food including a couple of nicely cooked skirt steak offers the carne asada was quite flavorful and surprisingly tender. The carnitas tacos were tasty. The queso fundido w chorizo was good but the proportion of chorizo to cheese was off needed more than a sprinkling of chorizo. Did NOT appreciate the waiter bringing two cadillac margaritas at each when I ordered the House traditional margarita. To make the matter worse, the cadillac tasted no better than the traditional and just somewhat bigger in goblets as oppose to a glass at a significant mark up. Crazy busy on Cinco de Mayo. Should have paid more attention to what was served"

"Every time I’ve been here, the experience has been outstanding. I’m fairly well traveled and the food is as authentically Mexican as you might find commonly in the Southwest or West Coast. Only Mexico itself would be more authentic. The food itself is outstanding quality with fresh ingredients and everything from the free chips and salsa to dessert is delicious.Drinks are really good. Service is very quick you can have a full course meal and be in and out in under 40 minutes easy. Staff is very friendly and helpful, and the facilities seem clean. Prices are very reasonable and the portions are generous. Top it off with a festive atmosphere and you’re in for a good experience every time here."

"The Pork Hominy Pozole was sooooo good!! Enough for 2 meals for me and plenty of cabbage, onions, radish and cilantro for toppings... just enough spice to give it a nice little kick! And both two 2. Two Tacos grilled chicken and grilled steak.. my husband had the grilled chicken on yellow corn tortillas and I had grilled steak on crispy corn shells! Those crispy shells are phenomenal! And the steak was amazing! Thank you so much Taqueria Mixteca!! Always love it when you give us such an amazing dinner!"

Upon being seated, you’ll be served the usual chips and salsa as a starter. If you're in the mood for more, they offer a small selection of appetizers with about ten items to choose from. Personally, I usually enjoy enough chips that I skip the appetizers and focus on the main course, which has never disappointed me. My favorites are the tacos al carbon and the enchiladas Vallarta. If I'm not particularly hungry, I might opt for a cheese quesadilla. In terms of food quality, I find it consistently good and definitely worth the price. Additionally, the service at Ruchi's is a standout feature. The waitstaff always seems cheerful and genuinely enthusiastic about their work, eager to ensure you have a pleasant experience. All things considered, Ruchi's Taqueria Mexican Restaurant checks all my boxes, and I will definitely keep coming back whenever I'm craving Mexican food."

"My family and I have been coming to this restaurant since it first opened, and we believe the food is significantly better than that of any other Mexican restaurant in the area. The servers greet us by name and make us feel like family, creating a genuine small-town atmosphere instead of treating us as just another customer. We've tried everything on the menu, and it's all fantastic! Our favorites are the chicken and beef fajitas, enchiladas, and caldo. On weekends, they have terrace seating with live music and karaoke, which adds to the fun. We’ve hosted some parties here, and everyone had a great time. "For the 2nd time I called in a order for delivery and no one ever showed up or called to say that she could not complete the order.. This time I called in order at 7:08 and said it was 1 hour and 15 minutes, which was good. I called back at 18:58 when no command had arrived and the driver was told that he was on the way. I called at 10:07 and said they were closed, and all went and my order was there. You have good food, but you will be donated to an order and never follow to let you know they won't come. Apparently not even if they find the inalienable order that sits there the next day."

"This is my Friday go-to place for takeout. I call ahead and 20 minutes later when I arrive the food is just about done. They package the takeout well. They do use foil containers so if you need to warm your dish it will have to be in the oven or moved to a microwave safe dish. They give good portions and are very consistent. Takeout orders include chips and salsa and they are not stingy with it. I really like the enchiladas. I would have given 5 stars but the prices are on the high side for mexican food in Reno."

"My Family and i loved to eat there, we used to eat there every other week. But the last few times we been there it hasn't been good. We order salads to eat before the main course. Yet we don't get them till the main course, other times we are waiting forour food for too long. We get there first and we see others get there after us and they get their food first. So we had stopgoing there for a few months and just last week we all just try again and it happen again, we didn't get our salads till themain course. No utinsils till we ask for them the drinks were half wrong and our food took to long. Over all I guess everyonehas a different experience. "This restaurant is truly disappointing. The service is awful! If you don’t come in with a group of at least 8 to 12 people, you’ll barely get any attention. My wife was choking, and it took five minutes to get a glass of water. I had to get up twice just to ask for it! Then, it took another 20 minutes for them to bring my check. I really should have just walked out. Everyone should consider leaving because the staff is clearly overwhelmed and understaffed."

"The service was spot on. Our waitress seemed to still be learning the menu, but the hostess/other waitress was very knowledgable. The space was well kept and cozy. Theres even outdoor seating. The Habanero guacamole was tasty although it could have been a bit spicier. We both ordered the Mexican plate with chicken. The chicken was well seasoned and the bean were impressively good (and vegetarian! The corn tortillas were a nice accompaniment to the dish and made up for the underwhelming rice."

"I ordered the Chili Rellenos and requested a substitute of Chili Con Queso instead of the Ranchero sauce, as I'm not a fan of it. Unfortunately, they only added about two tablespoons of queso to the pepper. The rice was dry, and the refried beans had a burnt taste. To add insult to injury, they charged me an additional $3.00 for the queso. I was very disappointed with both the quality and the price of the meal. I wouldn't recommend this place. Also, their website lists the dish at $12.75, but I was charged $15.95 in the restaurant."
