"As soon as you walked in there was nothing inviting about this place. There was one person sitting at the end of the counter but yet the young lady behind the counter was rude. We placed our order but because she was even more rude to my friend we left. He was very upset as was I because I Googled this place for us to eat at and convinced him we should stay despite it being empty. I hope whatever this young lady is going thru she works it out. It cost nothing to be kind. You're in a field of service so trying to be nice would be great or change jobs."

"This is one of my favorite local spots to eat. I make an effort to support local businesses, and when they offer great food, I want them to thrive. I've dined here several times and each experience has been fantastic. The staff is attentive and friendly, and the food is delicious. Being here evokes a sense of nostalgia for me. "The service was great. The waiter was attentive and friendly. The menu is HUGE. 24 Sections, 184 items, plus various combinations. The food was lackluster. Absolutely no seasoning of any kind, not even salt and pepper. The country fried steak was a chicken patty, not beef. The Broasted chicken was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside...but not a speck of seasoning to be found. The stars are for the service."

"I have stopped at this diner 3 days in a row for breakfast. Had the country ham, pancakes and western omelette. The home fries with a little onion added are awesome. The waitstaff here is top notch, quick to take your order and constantly refilling your drinks. Prices are a blast from the past and portions are no where lacking. Would definitely recommended this as a stop and would definitely return and make it a daily or weekly ritual if lived locally."

"Don’t waste your time with surrounding chains for breakfast. Capitol Pancake House is where you need to go for breakfast. Lovely staff, excellent, fresh food and very welcoming. The price was good too. Yes. You will wait a little longer than the local Denny’s or whenever, but you’re really waiting for freshly prepared food. Thank you for a lovely breakfast this morning! Kicked off our day on a great note, unlike the other local restaurants we endured this week. We’re sorry we didn’t try you sooner!"

"Everyone is so gracious! Called ahead bc we were a group of 16 wanting to come on Saturday at lunch. No problem, I was told. We walked in, enjoyed a lovely lunch at an already set table, including room for 4 kids and a highchair. Thru even gave the kids balloons and a quarter each for the sticker machines! Very lovely staff. Everyone in our group enjoyed their meal. Convenient for our family, some from LI and some in CT"

"Couldn't even put not one star. I ordered breakfast. It was eggs and pancakes the eggs. I said over medium they came overheard. Look like egg salad. The pancakes were ice cold the next day I order soup. They give me 9 salts, not even a pepper. I go over there. The boss is refusing to do anything about it. Tell me all I'm gonna watch the cameras and see how many salt and pepper they gave you. And then he never came out the back. Never gave me my money back. This place has gone downhill. We need a new restaurant in Middletown downtown. Beware of the new owners rude beware food disgusting. Beware, they don't know how to cook."

"We visit the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel approximately every four months, and we always make it a point to stop by the café for breakfast at least once during our stay (just an 8-minute drive away). The service is consistently excellent, and the food is delightful every time. The café consistently delivers high-quality food, great service, and good value for money.
