"My other child ordered an egg bagel, which tasted like a microwave egg bite from Costco. I wasn’t impressed, but my 4-year-old thought it was fine, and to be fair, at $10, it was a good-sized portion. Another issue I faced was when I ordered a “drink.” Upon realizing there was no iced tea at the soda machine, I asked about it and was told I would have to pay extra. I suspect I’d have received the same response if I had complained about the lox portion. Additionally, there are no refills on iced tea, which feels like a way to squeeze extra money from customers.
When you order at the counter and pick up your food, it made me question why they suggested a tip of 15-20% at payment. Maybe it’s a standard feature of their POS system, but I would have expected them to do something to enhance my meal and overall experience. Unfortunately, this place did little more than take my order and prepare my food, and I didn’t even receive a smile. I have no issue tipping 20% when there’s good service; it just needs to be earned. Overall, this was not an experience that would make me want to return."
