"I went to Little Italy for dinner, and my husband ordered a special—a rib dish with shrimp. When we tried it, the steak was burnt with large chunks of charcoal. We usually don’t complain or write negative reviews, but we mentioned it to our waiter. He quickly said he would speak to the manager. After a wait, the waiter returned saying the manager thought it could be remade. However, we never saw the manager until we approached him ourselves. He was reluctant to come to our table and insisted that a new steak would taste the same since it was grilled and not cooked on any kind of grid, so replacing it wasn’t an option. There’s a clear difference between burnt and charred—smoke flavor is different from overcooked. The steak was definitely not good, and the manager’s customer service was poor. Our waiter, Sergio, handled the situation wonderfully and earned a generous tip. Unfortunately, the manager, Joe G., has lost our future business."
