"Cook provides a pleasant setting for a casual meal, featuring appealing decor, comfortable seating, and quality tableware. During our lunch visit, we saw several families enjoying their meals. We ordered a Basic Burger and a Mandarin Salad, which ultimately led us to downgrade our rating by two stars. The burger was perfectly cooked to medium and accompanied by hot, tasty fries. Unfortunately, the salad did not meet expectations—it included just a few cups of chopped romaine, some shredded red cabbage, a handful of sliced almonds, packaged wontons, and a few orange slices. The dressing was a salty vinaigrette, and there was an excessive amount of it. Given the increasing prices at many places, the burger felt quite basic, and the salad came off as overpriced given the little effort that went into preparing it. The service was adequate, and we found ample parking both on the street and in a lot behind the restaurant. Accessibility was also a plus; we noticed a patron using a walker enter while we were there. Overall, the seating and menu choices are suitable for families as well."
