"My sister, who owns a restaurant herself, and I were in Los Angeles for less than four days, but we ended up dining at Fundamental DTLA four times! The restaurant is conveniently located at the end of a cable car line and just one block from our motel, yet it has a hidden gem vibe. The colorful and inviting décor, along with the friendly staff—including the owner, Pat—creates a warm atmosphere that made us feel right at home. We tried at least seven different items from the menu, and each one was consistently delicious, served with a smile and a joke or two. The portions were generous. The oatmeal was exceptional, packed with apples, cranberries, and bananas, while the coffee was just perfect. Now that we’re back in Santa Barbara, I already miss Fundamental DTLA!"
