"How disappointing. We enjoy going to lunch and learns or seminars that offer dinners at area restaurants. This offers two benefits , we learn something new and get to try a new local restaurant. We enjoyed our seminar but the food at Chef Rolfs was least to be desired heard he was on vacation, no excuse). The bottom of the water carafe had mold and we had to ask for another. The food was another story . Where do I begin? First there was only one person eating at the bar and there were 8 people in the seminar. Shouldnt be too difficult to cook amd serve what was ordered . You would think . We were allowed to pick anything off of the lunch menu. I chose the Steak caesar salad and my fiance chose the Rueben . He totally disliked his. I can see why. What was described as a traditional Rueben Marble Rye, swiss , kraut , thousand island dressing) came out with what looked like a bunch of dinner rolls pieced together and a piece of cheddar cheese on top which was cold) He asked for mustard and they gave him a few packets. Didnt feel like we were at a nice hotel restaurant with white table cloths) Mine was a whole different story. My salad was described as a salad with chopped tomatoes, onion and blue cheese with steak on top. What I received was a chopped hamburger on top which was supposed to be cooked medium if was the steak as advertised . There were no tomatoes, onions or Blue cheese and the hamburger was uncooked in many areas . We didnt dare ask for replacements because one, they never came back to check how our meals were . The seminar was over by then , so they wouldnt be interrupting anyone , but never asked . But the other reason, a lady who returned her chop steak salad because it was raw. Sat there while everyone ate and was beginning to leave had no lunch the entire time . If staff that was working couldnt handle 9 people in the whole restaurant, how is it when its season? I also feel sorry for the business that paid for our meals , because three meals were horrible and others didnt look pleased as well. When these seminars are at restaurant’s, the staff should welcome the opportunity to do a great job to earn repeat business. This was not the case. This review has no reflection on the business presenting their product ."

"There was some confusion with our reservation time. My mother in law made the reservation. Keep in my mind, this was a Wednesday night. She’s a pretty prompt and honest person. She’s also open to it being her mistake. The man at the door, who I think might be the manager, was instantly rude. He told us, “NO, your reservation was at 7.” My Mother-in-law explained that she called back and changed the time and spoke to someone. Once again, he continued to be rude. “You didn’t call here! I’ve been here since 1! You didn’t call here!” She then explained that she called two days earlier to change the time. He then grabbed his notebook and said, “I called you back!” He couldn’t be wrong. She then said, yeah, I may I have missed it. Suddenly, within seconds, he had a table ready for us. When we turned the corner, it appeared to be a modestly busy night, but not packed. His behavior was rude and confusing. We ordered drinks from the young man waiting on us. He brought me the wrong drink. Not a big deal at all. I was going to let him know when he came back. When he came back, before I could let him know about the drink, he asked, “Did you take a drink out of that.” I said no. He grabbed it and gave it to someone in the booth behind us instead of pouring a new drink. That was a first for me lol. Food was ok, drinks were ok, service was bad. Our quartet will not being going there again."

"Not saying this will happen to everyone, but just a few warnings before you decide to go to Socialista: If you wanna use the bathroom, you need to go upstairs and use the one in Cipriani’s, so you technically leave the bar. The security guy guarding the door from the Cipriani’s back to Socialista (they’re kind of connected) was super rude. When I left the bathroom, he was on his phone while I was waiting for him to let me back in. I tried to talk to him, he wouldn’t listen. I assumed it would be cool to just walk back inside the bar (he saw me come from there and I had the stamp on my hand), but he got mad because I “touched the door” and didn’t let me back in. I asked him to explain, but he wouldn’t listen. He told me to leave the place and go through Socialista’s main entrance if I wanted to get back inside. Completely immature and irrational. Everything is overpriced. One beer is $21 (also it’s a bar but they somehow only have one type of beer you can get). The only way to sit inside with the AC is if you pay bottle service (the cheapest bottle is $400, ranging to something like $2500 I think). Had to sit outside because I didn’t wanna pay hundreds or thousands for a bottle service. We left early because it was incredibly hot outside and the fan didn’t even work (we were all sweating, even though the outside part was almost empty). They didn’t let my friend in because she wasn’t wearing high heels, even though many girls inside weren’t, and guys were just wearing super casual clothes.Overall, not a good experience at all. I should’ve read the reviews beforehand. Hope this one helps. If you decide to go, best of luck ?"
