"To celebrate my birthday, I had a few local restaurants to choose from, but with our 5-week-old baby girl, we were limited. This was our first night out, and I picked my favorite place for dinner. We are always satisfied with the food and the early bird special. The staff is consistently attentive, and the menu offers plenty of options. I love this restaurant, and it was a wonderful way to celebrate my birthday and enjoy our first night out in a few weeks. It's a large local diner in an area with several choices, but it's definitely our favorite."

"This restaurant is the perfect spot for a delicious breakfast. You must try the Nutella pancake, but I would pass on the regular French toast. The wraps are also tasty. They have outdoor seating for sunny days. It can get very crowded between 11-12:30 on weekends, so expect a wait. I wish there were more vegetarian options available. The service for dining in is good."

"Best bagels on the UWS. I see people here complaining about prices and wait times. Most of the time I don 't get my bagels with anything on them, which may explain why I don 't have these issues?I usually buy just the bagels, get cream cheese separately from the supermarket (or sometimes a 1/4 pound container of their specialty cream cheese, usually garlic herb), and perform the necessary procedures at home myself. This is the old Upper West Side way of doing things, dating back to when the old H H Bagels on 80th Broadway ruled the UWS. (The new one on Columbus 85th 86th belongs to the H H Bagels East company, which is different and not as good).The old H H sold both bagels and cream cheese, but would not assemble them together for you. You were expected to do this yourself at home. I guess I just got used to doing things that way.Anyway. Ever since H H closed, Tal Bagels has consistently had the best bagels in the neighborhood. The everything bagels are absolutely perfect, and they have whole wheat everything too.The staff is rude because they are relentlessly overworked and always exhausted. Please try to be patient with them, and consider maybe dropping a few dollars in the tip jar. The guys who show up at 4 AM or whenever to open are the same guys who close in the evening. On top of that, there 's usually only 2 of them serving customers, and the place gets pretty busy.This is also why the closing time listed here is not quite correct (6 PM every day? LOL). They close early as often as they can, occasionally as early as 2:30 PM on Sunday. Go as early as possible, and don 't count on them being open after 4 PM."

"Was in the area and looked around on Google maps to find a place to grab lunch with my boyfriend. Decided to try this place and was so pleased! The area was clean and neat looking. The waitresses we're friendly and prompt. The food was delicious! I had the chicken tenders and my boyfriend had the gyro platter. My chicken was juicy on the inside and crispy on the outside. The batter was a wonderful golden brown. The fries were the same crispy and golden. My boyfriend said his gyro was good and very stuffed. The price on lunch was great too. Overall I'm really glad we stopped in and even though I live about 45 minutes away, I might just make the trip here again for that chicken. Amazing!"

"This was my 2nd time and I loved it even more. Took the whole family for my sister -in -laws birthday. We had the pizza which was out of this world, great crust. gnocchi, ravioli ...everything is so fresh and delicious. John the owner is a real gentleman and knows how to take care of his patrons as well as the server we had that evening. Never felt rushed and was able to just take in the atmosphere and great food. I would highly recommend this restaurant . We look forward to going back."

"The food tasted good but the overall service was awful. The workers were not friendly and were being cheap. Our meals were supposed to come with rice, but they only gave us 2 bowls of rice when there was supposed to be 3 (1 for each) and when we asked for the 3rd bowl, they said that if we needed it after we finished the other 2, they'll get it for us, like WHAT?! The place was dirty and had a funky smell as well. Will not be going back to this place, thats for sure"

"We went on Christmas morning we had Leslie as our server . She was definitely busy . I felt like people weren't patient . I counted 10 tables she had . Jeez people it's Christmas I saw shitty tips all around me for her it's such a shame . So we definitely overtipped. I really appreciated that she was working for us to have breakfast instead of being with her family . I know we brought a tears to her eyes . Ty again for being open and a big shout out to Leslie . "love the atmosphere, our waitress was brilliant and the food was delicious. my nabeby and I have steak and vulture. He has haash-browns and I've been in the house. he asked for his steak rare it was medium rare. I asked about medium rare and it was a bit closer to well done. but still quite delicious! it was really packed, but our waitress had a lot of time for us. They had a colored book and a chronic for our three-year-old son, with whom we waited for our food. the bathroom was quite clean, but there was no change for our 7 month old."
