"My husband made reservations for Valentine’s Day ten days ahead of time and the reservation was confirmed (with a fee of $20, non-refundable if we cancelled within 24 hours of the booking). We got a sitter for our little one and arrived on time for our 5:30 reservation, only to be told by the hostess that we weren’t on the list. My husband pulled up the confirmation text and email, only to find that it showed it was canceled 2 days prior, this was shown when he pulled up the website sent from the reservation confirmation, we were NOT sent any email or text telling us the reservation was canceled! In the meantime, four other couples entered the restaurant, and of those only one couple was on the list, this left us and 3 other couples who had reservations cancelled without any kind of notification! The 2 hostesses were young and extremely unprofessional, they looked like deer in the headlights and just kept telling us there was nothing they could do. We asked if we could speak with a manager and they told us he was in the kitchen helping cook because they were running behind. We asked if the hostess could let him know about the situation, she went into the back briefly and came back again stating there was nothing they could do for us. One of the girls said to the other that the manager (who is the owner) had cancelled “a bunch” or reservations for the day due to “overbooking.” So the manager/owner caused the problem, had 4 separate couples in his restaurant who had made reservations and then not been informed they were cancelled, and he didn’t even have the courtesy to come out and talk to us. I can’t believe how unprofessional the whole situation was. The girls at the front were too young and undertrained to be up at the hostess stand because they had no idea how to handle the situation, my husband had to prompt them on everything like requesting the manager. We then asked if we could receive a voucher for free dessert or drinks, or gift card to make up for the whole inconvenience, the girls said they couldn’t do that but that if we came back on another day and mentioned it to the server, maybe they could do that for us. That’s horrible customer service. My husband then requested to be contacted by the manager/owner the next day, one of the girls (I believe she's the owner’s daughter) took down his name and number we received no call. So there we were on Valentine’s Day with nowhere to go for dinner. Even if we had known the reservation was canceled, it was canceled only TWO days prior! We wouldn’t have been able to find anywhere else that wasn’t already fully booked by then. There has been absolutely no attempt to rectify the situation. We will never come back to this restaurant, the whole situation was handled incredibly poorly and unprofessionally. On a side note, for the prices this place charges, the atmosphere was subpar. There was absolutely nothing done to make it look nice for Valentine’s Day, no ambiance, no flowers or candles on the table. It’s not hard and there was clearly no effort put in."

"This evening, we opted for a dine-in experience at Addy’s BBQ, and the quiet atmosphere made it all the more enjoyable. It’s nice to have a peaceful dinner where you can truly savor the food and have great conversation. One thing that always stands out here is their service—consistently top-notch. In a post-COVID world, I really appreciate the convenience of QR code menus. Not only is it seamless, but when dining with a group, it makes splitting the bill so much easier. Love that feature—please keep it going! The food? Still as solid as ever. Tonight, we all went for the chicken fried chicken with mashed potatoes and their signature mushroom gravy. It’s something I’ve had before, and the consistency is remarkable. I’ve been coming here for years, and one thing I’ve noticed is a bit of shrinkflation—understandable given the times. That being said, their portion sizes are still far better than most restaurants at this price point. Back in the day, the plates were absolutely massive; now, they’re slightly smaller, but you still leave feeling completely satisfied. One of the reasons I continue to support Addy’s BBQ is because it’s a true halal establishment—not just the generic halal chicken and rice, but everything on the menu. That alone makes it a gem in the community. Now, let’s talk wings. Even though the wings themselves have shrunk a little (as has been the case everywhere), the quality and taste remain impeccable. Every time I order them, they come out fresh, flavorful, and perfectly crispy. If you 're looking for a solid appetizer, this is it. Parking tonight was easy, though I know it can get tricky when they’re packed—but that’s the case with any great spot in this area. If you’re planning to visit during peak hours, just keep that in mind. I also want to give a quick mention to their burgers. I didn’t get one today, but from past experience, they are juicy, flavorful, and always filling. Definitely worth trying if you 're in the mood for one. The only thing that gives me pause is the 18% auto-gratuity for dining in. I completely understand that the cost of running a restaurant has gone up, and businesses need to stay afloat. However, for some customers, it might make them reconsider coming in versus ordering takeout or going elsewhere. That’s just some honest feedback for the owners—at the end of the day, I truly want to see this place thrive. Overall, Addy’s BBQ continues to deliver on service, food quality, and consistency. I’ll definitely be back, and I hope they continue to be a staple in the community. If you’re looking for a great halal spot with generous portions and amazing flavors, this is it!"

"Unfortunately, the birthday celebrant was at the table of 5, and they had a server whose name I didn’t catch, mainly due to her poor attitude. She wore the same black gloves throughout our visit. Despite having a reservation, we were made to wait an additional 30 minutes to be seated, while she rushed to accommodate other parties, including a couple that arrived after us. The host did point out that we had a reservation before them, but that didn’t seem to change anything. Throughout our Sunday brunch, there were several frustrating issues, but the most disappointing part occurred when she attempted to charge the table of 5 a "Large Party" fee of 20%. As far as I know, that fee applies to groups of at least 6, which they weren't. I asked her to remove it, and while she seemed surprised, she did comply. However, it was too late to refund the rest of the party; she mentioned, and I was eager to leave before things got worse. Management, I have the receipt(s) and would appreciate an explanation as to why the refund couldn’t be processed in a timely manner. On a positive note, I want to thank the host from Sunday morning! She was sweet and patient, maintaining her smile despite the chaos around her with servers, management, and guests. Lastly, Elijah, our server for the table of 9, always made sure we had fresh plates and kept my water filled. Thank you again!"
