"I had heard numerous positive reviews about this restaurant, so we decided to give it a try, and I absolutely loved it! The chefs really know their flavors! We ordered crabs, chicken, and steak, and we enjoyed every dish. The steak was exceptionally delicious, and the Caesar salad was the best I’ve ever had! The desserts were phenomenal as well. The food truly made our hearts happy! As a 9-month-pregnant woman, I wasn’t too comfortable at our table, so we requested a different one, and they accommodated us even though it was a busy night. We will definitely be returning to Lavender!"

"Once we got beyond the unfriendly and unhelpful reception desk crew on the deck and made contact with the “grown up” crew on the inside desk, all was well. (More training needed! The restaurant clearly has a real chef. The menu is imaginative and the food is good. The waitstaff is also helpful and attentive."

"We frequently go to The Fig Tree. I always order the short rib, but this time, in my opinion, it wasn 't the same. They have a new chef who informed me they have been making it wrong for all these past years. Oh, my....not a good thing to say to a guest, and unprofessional towards the past chef. Parts were very crusty, to a burnt level. The manager, Francisco, brought me another one which was a little better. The manager made up for the comment after I told him about it. He was very apologetic and cared, as he knew we were frequent guests. Thank you to the manger. On the other hand, my husband had the steak special which was slightly overcooked, but was good. This experience will not keep me away."

"From the moment we checked we were greeted with a poor attitude and very rude lady who then proceeded to sit us at a table wedged between a staircase and another table there was absolutely no room unless you like dining with your stomach pressed against the table there was three other tables open within 10 feet of our table I asked to switch and it was as if I was asking for something impossible her explanation it goes by server the new table was literally right next to the old one so I didn’t get her logic when she agreed to move us to the empty table next to the old one she informed the waitress and as I’m looking at her she telling the host with a attitude on her face why so we just picked up and left went to BEACH CREEK OYSTER BAR that’s was very good"

"We absolutely adore TGO! We've dined here multiple times, making it our go-to restaurant on Colley Ave. Even when we consider trying somewhere else, we always find ourselves coming back because the food, drinks, and service are consistently excellent and reasonably priced. Last night, we enjoyed the Braised Lamb Shank and Beef Bourguignon, accompanied by a bottle of Petite Shiraz, and shared the Salted Caramel Mousse for dessert. Everything was perfectly prepared and incredibly delicious. The wine was wonderful, and the total bill came to just $94—quite a bargain for high-end French cuisine! Our server, Michael, was attentive and engaging, and we always enjoy sitting in his section. I highly recommend TGO!"

"We had a small group that was eating dinner before a local event. I called to double check that the restaurant could handle the party of in a timely manner since we were on a specific timeline and had had trouble last time we ate here. We were assured it wasn't a problem. I let them know there was a huge event happening next door, just in case they didn't know. They told me they could easily accommodate us. We ordered food and gave the waiter a heads up on our timeline. After minutes with no food I asked them to please check on time and let me know. The waiter never came back with an update. I asked again after we had been waiting for an hour and got no response again. After minutes waiting and asking repeatedly we informed them we had to leave. As we walked out a waiter apologized and said they were really understaffed. This is completely unacceptable. ALL they had to do was let us know there was a MASSIVE delay. We all left hungry for our event. Since this is the second time this has happened they have lost my business for good. Too bad because it is a great space and the food, if it ever arrives, is good. REALLY poor management and communication. I don't recommend it at all."

Drinks were slow and the inside was less than half full. My husband snuck away to remind them of our anniversary. Our waitress came back with a menu and said “he said it’s your anniversary you get a free desert if you wanna pick one from here” Just not the experience I wanted when dressed up for a special night The facility itself is pretty and the food was good"

"My post pop up trip to the Venetian was excellent. This is a neighborhood Italian restaurant that is punching way above its weight class. Some of the perks that you don’t get everywhere include olive oil with two kinds of bread to snack on, a solid, reasonably priced wine list, and a inventive cocktail list that has a few items that delight. Last night’s affogato martini was unexpectedly good. Our server arrived with a scoop of ice cream in a martini glass and shook the rest of the martini in a small shaker, pouring it into the class and making a neat presentation. The Caesar salad we had was a good portion and tasty with croutons and not overdone with dressing. My steak and fries was worthy of a higher end steakhouse. It was cooked perfectly and the brandy peppercorn sauce I ordered with it was a great complement. I alternate between the spicy broccoli and French fries to have with the steak and they are both great. The staff (including the general manager and executive chef check in to see how things are and are quick to make sure everything is as expected. The staff really seem to care about making a positive impression and it shows. I can’t help but go back. Each time, we are treated to consistently great food and service. How they manage to recruit and retain such great serving staff I’ll never know :"

"PM is one of what I consider "top drawer dining" restaurants. Customer focused staff- courteous and attentive to your needs. Good people skills are evident.The food as always is second to none. My wife and I had a lovely conversation with the manager/co-owner. Our server was a gracious young woman. Our experience at PM today and always was a "reason to come back again" experience."

"we 've been going to 709 for many years, and go there quite often . service is always good, but the food has been hit or miss for the past year. they closed down and reevaluated their menu and staff. the new staff is excellent, as was the old. we have decided to continue to support 709 during their transition. Saturday 's dinner was just not prepared to my liking. my fillet was medium well, when i asked for medium rare. the server was excellent, and tried everything to accomodate my requests. no fault of her own. but, the chefs should pay better attention to what they are cooking. the sushi chefs also need to check the freshness of the fish they are serving. the usually red tuna was gray. we tried a piece each, and decided not to eat it, and it was then off our bill. 709 was the place to grab a great meal.... look at my other reviews. not too sure anymore."

"We love Downriggers and is our go-to dining option when boating over from Anacortes. I know they were busy tonight, but the wait times were very unusual. Waited a long time for someone to come take our beverage order, then waited an eternity for beverages to arrive. Our wait person even stopped by once to apologize for long wait an assured us our ticket was next. When drinks came, we order dinner . . . waited some more a finally the salad arrived. Then, before we were 3 bites into the salad the entre arrived . . . too soon . . . now a challenge to find space on the table for everything . . . bread, salad, beverages, water, entrees, etc. Our wait person was very nice, the pace of service left a lot to be desired. Food was great, as always."

"First let me start by saying I have been to The Aviary numerous times. I have always had great service and food. With that being said…. We arrived about 10 minutes early for our reservation at 7:30 we had to wait about 20 minutes which is totally understandable being a Saturday night. We had drinks at the bar while we waited and I waited to pay the bill while my wife and her sister were taken to the table. When I got the table it was about 7:50. Our server did not come back to the table until 8:15. We ordered our appetizers and dinner at the same time which we never do. It’s a good thing we did. We got our appetizer (calamari) right away which was very good. Our food did not come out until around 8:45. We finished our meals and I had to find our server for our check while I was on my way to the restroom. We received the check at roughly 9:20. This was the only time our server was quick to come back to our table. I know some will say that this is no big deal, but when you see people come in after you and get quick service and eat and leave before you there is a real problem. I will not let this persuade me from not going again, but the management should be aware and hopefully keep a better eye on all of their patrons."

"We went here for dinner with Travel Zoo Promotion last night. The restaurant is beautiful! Cosy but open and spacious so you are not in other table discussions. The food was delicious! I had the chicken dish and it was moist and tasteful. My friend had the salmon and it was cooked to perfection! The only drawback was that the service was not exactly what I expected from a restaurant of this caliber. We had to look for our server a few times and ask for more water. We had some difficult time to understand him sometimes. All in all, food and ambience was amazing, service left a little to wish but still worth it."

"My husband and I went to SFG on a Wednesday evening around we had a reservation which was good because they were fairly busy but not on a wait. We were seated and it took minutes for someone to acknowledge us. I do not want to be negative here we know that the hospitality industry is short staffed and we also know that there are supply constraints. It should not have taken that long for water to get a drink order. Our server was adequate not really selling the menu or asking questions didn't tell us anything about the nightly specials on the printed menu. Our food took a LONG time to come and although she kept passing us by she never stopped to check in, refill water or clear any salad plates or other dishes. I know that there were other people who were upset since the table behind us finally flagged her down and asked if they had run out of food since it was taking so long for them to get their dinner. The food was very tasty and the beet salad was delicious. My husband had the beef short rib gnocchi and it was also prepared well. Make your own decision. Nice restaurant ; good food; mediocre service. The manager should have been making table visits instead of chit chatting with the servers."

"I was staying at the Hyatt on business and didn't feel like venturing out on a blustery night so I thought I would check out the Atrium located by the lobby. I made the mistake of sitting at a table near a revolving door so it was a bit cold, but that was my mistake and I figured it would make me eat quickly! It was late so the bartender was my server. He kept good tabs on me in between taking care of his bar patrons and I was happy about that. I ordered the smoked brisket poutine which was brought to me very quickly. I didn't get much smoke flavor but the brisket was tender so I couldn't complain. There were a couple fatty pieces but hey, that's brisket! The gravy was a little on the subtle side, in quantity and flavor. There were lots of cheese curds and they all melted down to create a layer of cheese on top with lots of waffle fries and brisket pieces to be discovered below. Overall a pretty good dish that could be made perfect with a couple tweaks."
