"Our first time visiting this place. Food was great! Service was great as well! Both ladies were very attentive and very polite. Nice atmosphere indoors, lots of cool signs, posters and memorabilia. Very reasonably priced as well. Between us three we had the chicken Philly, tuna melt, and chili dogs along with tater tots, curly fries, and onion rings. All very good. We will be back for sure!"

"Used to eat here all the time before moving away a few years ago. Came back for breakfast and am so pleased they haven 't changed a bit. This is the best breakfast available on the Kitsap Peninsula. Absolutely love the chicken fried steak and eggs, but the German Pancakes are the stuff of legend. As we are still fighting the COVID pandemic, they have implemented distancing which is honestly some of the best execution I have seen. Masks are required except at the table. Tables are generously spaced with partitions between booths. The sanitation procedures are great and strike a balance between having a bit of 'normal ' eat out capability while keeping the area controlled so as to prevent the chance of transmission of the virus. Kudos to the staff for a great job!"

"Usually I love this place. Always early, always correct order. I chose the non contact delivery because the person who I was ordering for is immunocompromised. Not only did the driver not just leave it at my door, he waited for someone to open the door and had the audacity to not be wearing a mask. We are over a year in this pandemic and here is delaware we are still in a mask mandate. My immunocompromised sister had to open the door and grab food from a delivery driver who was not masked. Its unacceptable and I will not order from here again. And it may be karen like of me, but she doesn't go to restaurants and orders out for a reason. Unbelievable"

"We've been in Salome for two months and come here every year. We usually eat in the local restaurants but this year we have ordered takeout several times from the Salome Restaurant. We started out satisfied until the order we placed about 2 weeks ago. There was a meal missing and when we tried to call and let them know, no one would answer the phone. They WERE NOT busy when we picked up the food and they were closing within the next 45 minutes so they just didn't answer. We tried to call and order again a few days later and to let them now about the forgotten meal and they would not answer the phone. We called several times both the night it was forgotten and the night we tried to order again and they would not answer the phone. We even tried to call their other restaurant and no one would answer the phone there either. This evening we tried to order and they did answer. When the forgotten meal was mentioned they wouldn't honor it by replacing it. We ordered anyway and when we picked up the meals, (it was a $65 order), the owner said that he knew we weren't lying, but he wouldn't honor it because we didn't call and tell them about it and if they didn't answer it was because they were busy. It's a little hard to tell them about ANYTHING good or bad when no one would answer the phone. After paying for the meal, the owner went in the back and the waitress was more rude and obnoxious than I have ever seen anyone in public. We said we wouldn't be back and she said good, they didn't want us to come back, good bye. Rude and obnoxious is the nicest thing I can say about her. We wouldn't have left the order if we hadn't already paid. Someone like her shouldn't be working with the public. From now on, we will be ordering our take out at Dos Amigos or Stanfford. Both places have been very pleasant and professional to deal with, nothing like the horrendous help at the Salome Restaurant. Over a $12 meal, our party of 8 will not order again from the Salome Restaurant. They must be making a lot of money to throw away a party that paid between $65 and $100 every time we order."

For me, the atmosphere was absolutely perfect--great music at an ideal volume and not a television in sight. (I don't mind places with TV's, but sometimes it's just nice to unplug for a meal, IMO. The food is really delicious. Both the hummus and the spanakopita are outstanding.
