"Wow...where do I start????????? Our server Sean was like “the walking dead”. Zero personally, never wrote down anything and never checked in with us to see if we liked our BLAND and tasteless food. Actually, it was really BAD SEAFOOD!! We are from originally from New Jersey and WE KNOW seafood. The women with the slight limp was fabulous that sat us down...like incredible, must be the manager or owner. My hubby wanted to leave $5 tip because Sean miss counted our change by $5 which showed of been changed of $35, not $30! OMG…Sean needs to sparkle more and count your change!! Since I’ll be visiting Santa Barbara for business every two weeks…I’ll stay clear of this terrible restaurant. I so wanted it to be my go to spot to bring my staff of 35 associates for a company hang-out!!"

"Had a wonderful date night with my wife looking out at the local harbor and surrounding marshes. Beautiful view. The service was excellent! Our waitress, was a great server and really earned her tip. Couldn't have asked for a better meal served in a better manner. My wife had the salmon and I had one of their amazing flounder specials. This is truly fine dining. Everything melted in your mouth. That includes the bourbon caramel bread pudding which was to die for. Every bite was fantastic! This is a great place to dine. We will be going back for sure. One of the best places to eat in Jacksonville. "The food I got was good but not as advertised I got the $10.99 four French toast and it was sup to come with two eggs, two sausage links, and two bacon strips, I only received the French toast, my friend ordered the Chicken Cheese Quesadilla with fries and it came burnt and the fries did not taste good either. We have eaten there in person and it was good, but doordashing it was disappointing."

"This is a place I often overlook, as I haven't been here in about two years. Recently, I was in the mood for something different and heard they had a new menu, so I decided to give it another try. They've introduced a lighter side menu since my last visit, along with some new offerings. The service was excellent, though it wasn't too busy during our visit, so I can't speak to how they handle the crowds on a busy night. Everyone in our group was happy with their selections, and we all finished our meals, which is a clear sign of how much we enjoyed the food. I particularly loved the adobo chicken, served open-faced on a lettuce boat, which was a nice change from the usual heavy buns. The beer was served ice-cold, making for a great outing. If you're in the area and looking for new lunch or dinner options, this could very well become your new favorite spot."

"As a first-time visitor, I can confidently say that I will be returning. The owner was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The prices were reasonable, and the food was delicious, prepared fresh with nothing served cold unless requested. Once the crowd thinned out, he took the time to chat with us. The ambiance was enhanced by pleasant jazz music, complemented by some R&B tunes. We even discussed the possibility of a cooking program for kids. Overall, it’s a wonderful atmosphere."

"The atmosphere of this restaurant is lack luster, and gives Karen vibes. This is due to the poor attitude of a lady who I assume is the owner, as she likes to throw insults and profanities like she is irreplaceable. I witnessed her Karen outrage at a lovely mother and daughter who came.to enjoy a nice meal, and was assaulted with the verbal and emotional outburst of a spoiled brat or an old lady, who if given the chance might have rolled on the floor screaming to get her way. If you like to have your ears violated with profanities and the tales of this person 80 year experience I recommend you visit, as she looks like she has that much experience written all over her face. Customer service at its finest."

"We saw this place earlier during our walk and decided to go there for dinner, after all was taco Tuesday, we cam back around 8, no one was at the door so we went inside to be seated, one of the girls inside screamed at us from the bar to go back outside and waited to be seated, we went back outside and realized that the host was seating on one of the table with a friend chatting, she got up annoyed and told us to wait because it was 2 groups before us 4 guys and a couple) I told her we were 5 people, never wrote down anything and went back to see with her friend, we can see 4 tables outside empty and a big one inside all tables clean) for at least 8 people empty and still she made us wait 20 minutes before sitting us, the group of 4 guys left because of the wait and lack of attention from the host, then she skipped the couples before us to bring us inside, the lady got really mad and told her they were there first, the host never apologized and rolled her eyes at her while she took them to the table, then came back for us, she was a young girl from Panama she to,d us, once inside our waiter was good, Rhea Ray of sunshine) we call her, super friendly and willing to made our experience better, we other guacamole and one of the other girls walking there brought it to our tables with no chips, Rhea was helping another table and didn’t see us, we ask 2 other girls that passed by us to please get us tortilla chips for our Guac and they simply ignored us, Rhea came back and apologized for it and got us the chips right away, the food was really good but the service really suck so I don’t think we will go back to eat there, Rhea is the inly reason I give them any stars and it sucks that because of their poor customer service they will loose customers because their food is actually good."

"If I could add -1 stars I would. The female working on May 28th 2020 was extremely rude. I was standing there waiting to place my order and she never once acknowledged me. When I finally spoke up, she kind of rolled her eyes, so I left. You guys need to train your staff about customer service. She was TERRIBLE!!!"

"I'm sorry but I have to stand on my tried and true! I have been coming to Aso for YEARS! And the food NEVAH disappoints!Could they use some work on the customer service side, yes! Have I wanted to cuss one the cashiers out, and had to politely remove myself from the situation before I exploded on her before, also yes! But with the good there is always the bad. The yin always the yang. That time that I wanted to swing on the rude lady who walked away, midsentence, while I was ordering my food, I had to mind my manors and remove myself. I couldn't possibly get banned from one of my spiciest, tastiest, most consistent and sometimes even good for a night out, west African spots in Dallas. Tsk! Tsk! Respect yourself!Aso rock definitely may try your patience every once in a while, but flavor wise, I have never been disappointed! Matter of fact, I rode the DART from cityplace to LBJ/SKILLMAN station, New Years Eve 2020. I picked up Egusi or ogbono (I can't remember which one now with chicken, pounded yam, a side of spinach and probably Moi Moi (if I know my carb loving self , hopped my happy butt right back on the train, and SMASHED! The night was finished with lots of fireworks off turtle creek, but the real fireworks were the bursts of flavor from one of my staple spots!I should call Gordon Ramsey on y'all to whip y'all into shape, but I wouldn't want him to mess around and change the menu!Anyway I have said enough! You get it! Don't expect the service of the ritz and you'll be thoroughly pleased. Expect amazing food time after time and you'll be A-okay!P.s. this is the only place in the city, that I know of, that will let you split soups. (I,e; half Egusi/okro, half ogbono/efo , half ogbono/ half okro (you must love the slime , etc. which makes this spot even more top tier."
