"WOW! I 'm so sad I found this gem just a month before we 're relocating! Our waiter, Frankie was amazing! Very professional, kind and attentive, but not overly so (aka we didn 't feel rushed at all). The ambiance was upscale, but comfortable, I wish I had been better dressed than in yoga pants and a t-shirt, but it wasn 't a big deal at 11am. Food was all very flavorful and timed appropriately. My Husband got the Hawaiian steak and said mmmm with every bite, lol. I got the chicken alfredo with less pasta, but the same amount of sauce, as requested and it was just how I like it. There was a generous portion of chicken on top that was nicely cooked as well. Garlic fries oysters and stuffed mushrooms were delicious! Portions were larger than expected, so we have leftovers, which is nice. "Very disappointed. I spent purchased 2 adult plates and 2 drinks. First of all I got here at 10:30am and the doors open at 10:00am. I first noticed the unswept and non mopped floor starting from the door leading to the register which should’ve been a sign for me. After my purchase I proceeded to the food. The breakfast food was cold and the selection was small. The macaroni and cheese has no flavor and the cheese taste like water, the onion rings were cold and so were the eggs. As a result I decided to get a salad only to find several withered leaves and brown water on my plate underneath the plain lettuce. I wish I could get my money back, I’d just go next door to Wendy’s. OR go to the location on Cobb Parkway bear Lake Park Dr. where EVERYTHING is hot and fresh, I wish I could get my money back. The plates and silverware are also dirty so check EVERYTHING if you decide to eat here!!!"

"We eat here several times a year and chose Pappas to celebrate our 43rd anniversary. Our request for a booth was honored and it was in a fairly quiet location. Our server, Marly, was friendly, attentive and efficient. My wife and I both enjoyed a cup of Maryland Crab soup. It was well-seasoned without being overly salty. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her LARGE crab cake, noting it contained backfin meat. I was very happy with the generous serving of 7 LARGE panko fried oysters, prepared a little crispy at my request. Best fried oysters in the Timonium Cockeysville area in my opinion. The sides were good although both of us thought the cole slaw had a little too much mayonaise, making it wet. But it tasted good. We were so full we skipped dessert. Great way to celebrate our anniversary!"

"What is a gray day when we always have very sunny and happy days during our dinners at Pier 500? It absolutely does not affect anything. I also have my gray days, anyone can have gray days but the important thing is to know that one arrives at a restaurant where you are well received, where the hospitality is always there and the professionalism of all those smiles makes you feel at home adding the delicious dishes that are included in the Menu. Until next time.... I have always been fair and balanced with Pier 500. I have always been a loyal customer and expect the same from the service at Pier 500. I invited some international guests this Monday, July 22, 7:30 PM. Greater disappointment. Everything was terrible. The waiter, a young man, without experience, without ideas or training, inept at how to serve a table with 7 diners, a total disaster. He took the order and he disappeared until he brought the bill to the wrong person when I was specific that I was the host. He brought the bill without asking if we wanted it or, for that matter, if we wanted coffee or some dessert. Nothing! He didn't ask again if we wanted more water or another drink. The rest of the service was even worse. They brought 3 dishes and after waiting 2 soups. Now, being a Gourmet Amateur Chef, you never do that. The soup is served first. It's not McDonald's. The third soup came a long time later and the rest of the meal much later. As RULE Number 1 of good manners, you do not start eating until ALL diners have their plates served. Therefore, everything went cold. Anyway, the chicken arrived cold. I felt really frustrated because I had planned this for my international visitors for many months. Speaking of chicken. I had told them that I suggested that wood fired chicken was one of the most delicious that was made in the region. Wrong! I ordered half a chicken and they brought me two breasts, cold and dry. One can see that they were cut because they were left over and they were under the infrared light. The rest of the chickens were equally bad. The skin was not crispy but soft and gummy. A burger was ordered and also mayonnaise on the side. It didn't come complete. Since the waiter did not return, we asked a person who passed by if he could be so kind as to bring us some mayonnaise. He brought 3 loaves of bread when, I repeat, we were 7 people. The table is the second round table on the right facing Walnut Street. We did not have the Chocolate Cake, super delicious. The only thing I wish is that Pier 500 management takes account of the matter and corrects this terrifying thing, I know I exaggerated, but it was like that. Instead of having a good time it was like the Titanic hitting an iceberg. And there was no iceberg, happily. It looked like we were not at Pier 500. All The attendants were not recognized. All different. A restaurant like Pier 500 does not deserve to fall into a situation like this when we know that it always provides excellent dishes and very professional services. Until next time. "First of all, you had me at Pie Shoppe. I love this place. We saw the sign in passing, while heading to the freeway and promised ourselves that we 'd be back. The next morning we stopped in for breakfast. And oh, what a breakfast. While most places offer a choice of toast, muffins or biscuits...the coveted Village Kitchen Pie Shoppe offers (are you sitting down? freshly baked, hot, buttered Cinnamon Rolls, as a choice for breakfast breads. Excuse me, while a break into my Happy Dance! Oooh yeah...it 's that good! The rest of the breakfast was great also. And Josie, our server was fantastic! Her cheerful personality was just as delightful as the freshly baked, hot, buttered Cinnamon Roll. So of course, we returned for lunch and had to try a slice of pie...or five. What? Pie is in the name. There are few better ways to start (or finish your day than the Village Kitchen Pie Shoppe. Oh, and did I mention?...they have freshly baked, hot, buttered Cinnamon Rolls."

"Today, I ordered a cheese omelet with bacon, home fries, and whole wheat toast. Unfortunately, everything arrived except for the toast. Instead, I discovered the bacon packed in a small bag, which I initially thought was the toast. Despite clearly repeating my order over the phone, there seems to be a pattern of mistakes. This has occurred too often, and I've already brought it to their attention twice. I don't foresee ordering from here again anytime soon."

"I have been curious to try Golden Corral for awhile, so I made the trip out to Manassas to check it out. I arrived at just before 4 to get the early bird/senior price, which was $9.99 as of 07/29/2024. I checked out the food and was a little confused as I did not see any plates. I then realized you have to be seated where a server will bring you plates and whatever drink you selected (I just had water). Took a few minutes for a server to arrive, but not a problem. I was give four plates so off I went. I went protein heavy; I had fried chicken, fish both baked and fried, ribs, pot roast, bourbon chicken, and meat loaf. I had a tiny bit of mashed potatoes and gravy, stuffing, mac and cheese, squash, fried okra, onion rings, hush puppies, collard greens, and corn bread. Lastly a little bit of chocolate soft serve ice cream and a chocolate dipped strawberry. I wanted to try other desserts but I was just too full after three plates of food. Overall, the food was okay. The stand out was the fried chicken; it was perfection. I also enjoyed the pot roast and the ribs. Everything else I tried was average or maybe a smidgen better; I did like the corn bread as well. Would I go again? Perhaps if the restaurant was closer (for me it was a 40 minute drive). $10 after all is ridiculously cheap these days, and is certainly a good value for the variety and the amount you can eat. I would like to go back and try other things, an have more of that fried chicken!"

"I should have known to leave when I saw that the restaurant was empty at 1 pm on a Friday. However, the service was good and the waitress was friendly. I decided to order breakfast for lunch. The pancakes and eggs were tasty, but the hashbrowns were bland and the corned beef hash on the side was unrecognizable and disgusting. I would not recommend trying their breakfast options."

"Last time we were there about 6 months ago it was quite good so when we wanted to take our friend out to dinner before he moves away, we thought it was a good choice. I guess summer Wednesdays are not the day to go. Empty except for two other tables. Our waiter rushed us, the food was not really good. Thank god for really expensive sangria. Zero ambiance. My prawns were so over cooked they were like rocks. Barely could get a steak knife through them. Spanish potatoes came as one congealed lump of half cooked flavorless mess. Inedible. Sandy paella. I’m turned off for good"

"The food was dry, and the plates were dirty. I used to dine here every other week when heading south, but my recent visit left me feeling unwelcome. It seemed like the owner, who has an unfortunate appearance, lacked any warmth or hospitality. I used to go out of my way for their fried chicken—it was worth a 40-mile detour. However, after today’s experience, I wouldn’t even cross the street for it."

"My stomach is hurting! We walked in and sat in the back. The lady told us she'll be right back to take our order. Well 10 minutes later a new whole group of 4 sat down next to us and somehow got their drinks before us. We felt invisible and I think the easier heard me because he came to us right after serving them their drinks. Anyway we went ahead and ordered a bunch of food. The crab cakes and chicken croquettes were really good but that's where it ended food wise. My mojito was really good and I would have asked for a 2nd but nobody came to check on us. We waited and got tired of waiting so I got up asked for the check then had to get up and give her the check. It wasn't that busy so I don't understand the wait but I wont be going back. I'm feeling like I have to puke right now as I write this. So disappointed!"

"The restaurant feels like a strange mix of a former diner and a dollar store, or maybe even a flea market, with an odd assortment of items scattered throughout. You’ll find everything from canned tuna and aspirin to coffee mugs and antiques—and even canned sardines—all piled up on tables and shelves where they just don’t belong in a restaurant setting. It felt like a time capsule, but unfortunately, not a pleasant one. I've been trying to stop at different small-town truck stops and restaurants to check out the atmosphere and grab a bite, but this place was really peculiar. I ordered nachos, a crispy chicken wrap, and a Reuben, and all of them were definitely below average. Nothing special or homemade, and it seems they’re simply trying to keep things running on an extremely tight budget. To be honest, this place makes an Iron Skillet look like a luxury hotel. There’s plenty of parking available, and they charge $15 for a shower, which I’m going to skip. If I happen to drive along Highway 39 again, I’ll likely keep going unless I really, really need to stop."

"Times may have changed, along with some of the neighborhood demographics, but man ole man, the quality remains.First time back eating at the Country Club in over 10 years.I happened to see the White Fish platter and decided to order. My partner ordered Eggs, Grits with Turkey Bacon. The whitefish salad was some of the best I have ever eaten. Bravo to the chef whom I was told makes it from scratch....Also I was given enough whitefish to spread on 3 bagels!!!And the CC Diner only charged $14.95!!My partner enjoyed her breakfast as well. The waitress was so nice and pleasant, as was the manager who greeted us when we walked in.To top it off, we purchased a small cheesecake for the two of us to take back to our hotel for later and my goodness; the cheesecake is one of the best if not the best I've had the pleasure of eating...Soft texture on the outside, and a creamy smooth rich flavor that melts in your mouth.A must for anyone visiting Philadelphia for a delicious diner experience and a treasure that has been around for over 60 years. "The Great South Buffet is a bustling spot with a wide array of food options, including a salad station, seafood, chicken wings, a carving station, pasta, pizza, fries, and much more. Don't miss out on the peach cobbler, lemon bars, and various cakes for dessert! The service is warm and friendly. We visited as part of a large bus group, and the staff catered to our needs very well. The only downside was that the air conditioning wasn't working, and the restrooms were not very clean."

"My husband and I stopped at Perkins, Elkhart location. When we went to pay our bill the lady in front held up the works with her gift card and other issues. When it was our turn we put our debit card in. The amount was $12.39. Got our card ready to go when the restaurant cashier said we owed $28. something our responsibility. so we put our card back in and paid. Asked her why it was a separate bill. We had paid discovered it was for the customer in front of us. Ask to have that backed out she said there was no way. Finally on the 3rd day after we finally spoke to the “manager” ironically was the same lady that helped us at the register. She assured us she had taken that off and we would see on our bank account the correction. That was June 14. Today June 27 it was never reversed. I will not eat at any Perkins again."
