"We attended mother's day buffet. Food was OK but not top notch. i expected, but didn't see, pasta station, omelet maker, etc. Service was fair, but acceptable. What was not acceptable to me was an included, and hidden, 22% tip for a buffet. We won't be going back."

"It was a bit confusing as to how it worked. We were in the lounge section and someone “pointed “ us to where our table was. Then it took at least minutes for the server to come. We had to ask how to proceed. Although she was very nice we had to keep looking for her for help. Walking across the entry to get to the food was frustrating as there were people coming in, people leaving and those with full plates of food that we had to navigate through. Then no one picked up our dirty plates! You definitely needed more servers for the amount of people there. My suggestion is each room should have their own food station which would alleviate all the confusion. You wouldn’t lose any seating as the tables would replace the food station."

"Isaac really took this evening above par. Our server was excellent in every way, but the catered bar service was phenomenal. Personally I've never ad caviar, but what a pairing with the scallops! My husband makes risotto frequently, yet the servings from Halls still feels elegant and special. Honestly the only denote on the evening is parking. I'm not asking for valet (but let's face facts, this is the type of place one could expect it) but it'd be nice to not need to walk a few blocks before being seated. In any case, from live music, to fabulous atmosphere, the night is one I will never forget. The experience went from a simple celebration of being relocated for 1 year, to a night of pure bliss. Every detail felt catered, and there are Michelin (speaking of, where's yalls star? Bc you've earned it in my book) star restaurants that didn't match this night. Thank you! Parking: There are several lots and garages within a few blocks, and of street parking as well. It's a downtown location, parking is annoying at best. Really research what else is going on in downtown for your reservation night, Halls sits quite close to the peace center, which can fill those garages and lots pretty quickly. Also, spot angles (parking app) is a neat tool to help on this topic. Updates when the garages are full and occasionally can point out a free space or 2."

"The Redwood is a nice dining experience. Everyone enjoyed their food and our server was great. If there is one true negative to the Redwood, it 's their pricing. It 's a little bit overboard. $25 pasta dishes, $20 fish and chips (3 small pcs and a tiny basket of fries). They need to bring that issue under control. Our seat could have been better, as we were next to the walkway, and right next to the service station. The noise level was a little above normal but mostly due to several people and parties. Food came out hot and was delicious. (NY Strip, Shrimp Alfredo, Pot Roast Lasagna) We didn 't have fast service but we understood, it was a very busy night and our server had 2 separate LARGE celebration parties, so we had very acceptable service for the situation. 4 star with room for a 5"

"On a positive note, the ambiance is charming, though there was a rather unusual singer performing during our visit. As for the food, the bread was passable, but that’s where the compliments end. While the pasta and chicken were cooked properly, both lacked seasoning, resulting in an overall bland dish. I’ve never dined at an Italian restaurant without being offered fresh parmesan cheese, and the chicken piccata was sadly devoid of lemon flavor, with no fresh lemon on the side. And where were the capers? This restaurant claims to be Italian, but it feels more like an American eatery trying to mimic an Italian experience. If you’re okay with navigating lots of stairs, can tolerate slow and ineffective service, and don’t mind bland food in a cute setting, then this place might be for you."

"I booked this restaurant due to high ratings but, sad to say, our experience fell short. The signature pear salad was outstanding, but the pasta dishes were over sauced, which I never would say as I love sauce. The fish dish (salmon) and sides were also lacking in flavor. Service was friendly and pretty good, although waters were not refilled and, in this COVID-era, I’d prefer to box my own left-overs at the table for safety. Was also shocked that there was no checking of vaccinations, but I guess that’s not a requirement in this community. Restaurant is very dark and hard to see menus or dishes. Had to use flashlight in phone to see."

"Great service, excellent food, huge servings and just an all around great place! Prices were very reasonable and actually cheap when you consider how much you get! You could easily feed two people with one meal or fill up on half and take the rest with you for a 2nd meal! I highly recommend this place to anyone in the area! I know my sled hockey team and I will definitely go back if we end up playing there and staying down the road again!! Kid-friendliness: It's a kid friendly place that has options for the whole family, even if you have picky eaters! Wheelchair accessibility: This place is wheelchair accessible and was able to accommodate me and a bunch of my teammates who were also in chairs!! Plenty of parking. I didn't use the restroom while there but I know some others did and I didn't hear any complaints so I assume they are OK as well!"

"Dined at Othello's this past weekend after the OU/West Virginia Basketball Game. I was a little skeptical after the reviews I read online, but I can assure you this meal was one of the best I have had in Norman in a long time We had a nice cozy booth on the restaurant side where we were greeted by a wonderful young man named Sam. "Fish and chips were great. The kitchen has what it takes to deliver a crispy and perfectly cooked oversized fish filet and a good heap of fries. Slaw was nice but was lacking a punch. "Have visited a few times. Dishes are rather simple, however priced a little higher than competitors. Tried a new item on menu, steak salad. Lettuce was very limp, almost seemed like it had been sitting out all day. Dressing was to heavy, so would order on side if I choose again. "Great atmosphere. Good food. Typically long waits and no bar. Update: Went back again on 9/1/24, Sunday of Labor Day weekend. We called and reserved a table with no problems. "My husband and I cannot say enough good things about Krave Caterers! Our daughter got married last month and her reception was held at the Conservatory at the Sussex County Fairgrounds. Kate and Anna spent a lot of time on the phone with us explaining everything they never rushed us or made us feel like we were bothering them with all our questions. We met Liz at the tasting and she made it a special time with our daughter and future son in law. Kate spent a lot of time with my daughter and I when we did the walk through a couple months before the wedding. She was patient with us as we asked all sorts of questions and threw all kinds of ideas at her. She was also a wealth of information and suggestions. We had a last minute request to change one of the passed hors devours the week before the wedding and when my daughter texted Kate, Kate was quick to respond with “of course!” The actual wedding day reception was a dream! The attention to details was top notch. Everything was beautiful and the food was second to none! My husband and I were impressed with the personal attention we received during both the cocktail hour and the dinner hour. When we arrived at the Conservatory, my husband and I were met by Kate who had our drinks in hand, and Liz brought us plates of food so that we could mingle with our guests instead of spending time filling our plates during the cocktail hour. They checked on us and were also very attentive to the groom’s parents as well as the bridal party. I think what was really impressed me was the emphasis on making sure that not only were the bride and groom made to feel special, but also the parents! (I had never experienced this before with other venues and caterers. From cocktail hour to dessert, the food was incredible! For days, my husband and I received texts and comments from friends about how amazing the food was. I can keep gushing, but one last thing. Towards the end of the evening, when my husband and I were exhausted, we asked Kate about a something that needed to be taken care of and she immediately told us not to worry about it, that she and her team were taking care of it and we were to just finish enjoying the evening of our daughter’s wedding. I could go on, but you get the idea you can’t go wrong hiring Kate, Rich, Liz, Anna and the rest of the team at Krave to cater your event! Thank you Krave for a memorable time!"

"After 30 minutes, we were finally seated. We ordered crab, a fish sandwich, and fish and chips. The crab was fantastic—generous portions and cooked perfectly! Our server, Jacky, was very friendly and attentive. Overall, the food was good. The fish and chips were decent; I’ve had better in terms of portion size and fish quality, but this was still enjoyable. I had also ordered corn, but I forgot to check if it arrived or if I was charged for it—I'll be sure to remind them next time! Pricing was reasonable and not as high as other crab restaurants that tend to overcharge. The only downside was that it took a long time for our food to arrive, but that’s understandable given the crowd. I’ll definitely come back again!"

"Decided to try this local spot out yesterday after seeing it on google maps. If you like Italian food, I recommend this spot. The atmosphere reminded me of a Italian movie or show like the Sopranos. Our waitress Christina was absolutely amazing! She was very knowledgeable when it came to the menu and the wine menu. She made several recommendations and gave honest opinions. Food came out pretty quick and everything was amazing! I tried the Beef Stroganoff from the lunch menu and it was amazing. Not as creamy as I like, but it was still really good and rich with flavor. The beef was cooked perfectly! The two different types of wine that were recommended will have me stopping in for bottles from time to time. They were both phenomenal! If you stop in in the daytime during the week be sure to ask for Christina as your waitress!"
