"OK so we were in town for a walk. And while in town we decided we wanted to have breakfast after the walk and we didn’t want to eat somewhere that we could eat in our own town so we found this place. It was very busy. It was the second restaurant we went to because the wait time the first place was so long. They told us 25 minutes at this restaurant and so we decided to give it a shot. It was standing room only outside the restaurant, there was dining inside and out. Very casual. In fact, several people had pets dogs. The outdoor dining literally was 3 feet from the parking lot which was fine except when cars started coming and going. We dined outside. That inside looked packed. I went into use the restroom and did not see any open tables. Our server took about 10 minutes to get to our table. His name was Victor. He was very aware as he took note of my grandsons name and mentioned it several times throughout our interaction. I ordered the tamale breakfast. The others with me ordered the Chiliques and the Mexi skillet. Kids had pancakes off children’s menu. Our total was over $88 for 5 people. The service was good up until a point. It felt like once we had our food and we had cleaned up and we’re waiting for our check. We waited about 20 minutes for him to come around. It did take our food about an hour to come out from the time that we sat down, and about 40 minutes from the time that we placed our order. We were there a total time of almost 2 hours between the time of arrival eating and waiting for a check. I think for most people that want to come and just sit and enjoy mimosas, relax and drink, and not really have a pace. I think that that’s great. But if you’re there just to eat and run, it might be best to come a little later after the rush. I noticed that things started to get better after 1 PM. Overall I recommend the place I definitely think I’m gonna trade for more breakfast. Dishes specific was not too much of a fan of the tamales, but I felt just had a little too much sauce on it couldn’t really enjoy the meat. I did try both the pork and the chicken and was not a fan of either. But my husband will get to enjoy the leftovers. .?Parking: We had no problem finding a parking place. However, I think it was just timing because it seemed others did."

"Upon arrival, the atmosphere was inviting, with colorful decor that set the stage for a delightful meal. Eager to enjoy, my group ordered the Enchiladas and Chicken Chimichanga, but disappointment set in as soon as the dishes were served. To begin with, the presentation was underwhelming. Typically, I love to capture beautiful food photography, but the unimpressive appearance of our plates made me lose any enthusiasm for it. This initial disappointment colored the rest of our experience. The service was slow, adding to our frustration, especially when we had to keep asking for water refills. The communication about our Enchilada order was also lacking, and being told that our customization requests were troublesome for the kitchen was disheartening. When the Enchiladas finally arrived, it was clear that they had been prepared in haste. The cheese inside was disappointingly unmelted, which diminished the dish's overall appeal. Additionally, the flavors were lacking; I expected a vibrant burst of Mexican spices, but that was conspicuously absent. Even the rice, a standard side, was perplexing with its odd taste. Overall, my dining experience at Papi Grande's was disappointing. Despite its appealing exterior, the restaurant did not deliver on service or flavor. While I understand that restaurants face challenges, the lack of attention to detail and flavor refinement left me wanting more. In a city filled with culinary options, Papi Grande's did not stand out."
