"I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant! The staff was efficient and welcoming as soon as we walked in. Our server was friendly and attentive. The food was absolutely delicious, probably the best Mexican food I've ever had. I ordered the vegetarian enchiladas and my husband had the regular enchiladas. They had a great selection of vegetarian options, as well as a large variety of other dishes on the menu. The restaurant quickly filled up as we finished our meal, and it's easy to see why - the food was delicious and the service was impressive. I highly recommend this restaurant, and I hope they keep up the great work!"

"This used to be our favorite place. Here lately it has gone down hill. We went tonight and got the usual we always get. We had to send my husbands back(fajita taco salad with chicken chorizo and shrimp)because the taco shell was so stale it was like rubber. It literally bent instead of breaking. We sent it back and got another one. When the new one came out the taco shell wasn’t even half filled with all the meats listed above to include the lettuce and other fajita vegetables that come in it and had almost no flavor at all. My Guiso Mexicano had more jalapeños than steak. We told the waiter about our disappointment in the fajita taco salad( my husband only took 1 bite and didn’t eat anymore). We asked if the owner was there and he said no, took the taco salad and walked away never to return to the table. Needless to say, we still had to pay full price $38.94 before tip even though we voiced our disappointment in the food and only 1 bite eaten."

"Ordered the Impossible Cheeseburger with a Coke, plus a 2nd Coke. Neither drink was delivered, plus there were no condiments, tomato or onion on the burger (even though they were ordered). The Mac Cheese was good, however."

"This restaurant gave me diluted iowa Mexican food vibes. I would use the word 'authentic ' loosely. The menu was missing many Mexican favorites I 've eaten at most restaurants. The queso is delicious! Although it 's weird that they put queso on most of their chicken dishes. Also weird that some menu items some with rice not rice and beans. Pictured is the chicken fajitas and the garlic chicken. Overall food was really good but I could enjoy some of my Mexican favorites because the restaurant didn 't even carry them which I found odd. Also chips didn 't seem like traditional freshly made chips I 've had they were thicker. Would maybe return, I 've had better Mexican food in Iowa city for sure."

"We have always enjoyed getting take out from here. Today we got takeout and after my wife put down her soft taco from taking a bite she noticed something strange. After looking closer it was a **** fingerprint. We immediately called management to let them know and their first response was it was from a cherry in the order. Not a cherry tomato but a cherry as in one that goes in a drink. We did not have anything with fruit. I asked for a phone number to text a picture to right away, did so, but they advised they did not get it. She then said that no one in the kitchen was bleeding at any part of the day today. You can see in the picture it?s a perfect finger print with fresh blood. We brought it back in so they could see it in person and they still denied any wrong doing. This time every signal person that worked there had gloves on, including the servers which did not when we picked up the food. It honestly didn?t matter at this point I just find it funny when we got there everyone was wearing gloves. The problem I have is there was no reassurance that it would never happen again or knowledge there was even an issue. This could be very deadly to someone with any type of auto immune problems if there is any type of blood infection or disease the person working there has. Finally they offered a refund but only gave us some of the ticket back, not a total refund. Just make sure you inspect your food before eating anywhere you get food from but expectantly here. I?m sure this was an honest, careless mistake but it was handled very poorly. Pictures is the taco and a close up. We also put Salsa on another tortilla to see if it would be the same but you can see it wasn?t. It is clearly a **** finger."

"Incredible food! I've traveled across the country for work, and this place ranks in my Top 5 Mexican restaurants. The frozen mango margaritas are fantastic. The Bloody Mary wasn’t outstanding, but it was well-seasoned and served its purpose. The waitress was friendly and very helpful. I would definitely recommend this restaurant!"

"Service here is always excellent, it is a cool and fun atmosphere, but to be completely honest the food is just okay. The peppers for the Chili poblano were not cooked enough, the chimichanga and the tacos just weren't that great I mean they weren't disgusting but for the price point I would hope the food was just better. Flavor profile is just pretty flat. Also the frozen margaritas weren't very good either, just sour. My wife got the mango margarita and it was kind of gross, she didn't even drink it. "my car broke down on a Fri late nite off Zebulon Rd .. and I stayed with my car overnight. with some help sat around lunch I was finally able to get to this shopping center to wait for someone to come fix the car. I ordered online, my party showed got me running I ran to gas station up the road got gas and came back to get my order ... Well turning into shopping center my car died again middle of road.. had real issues getting moved and couldn't leave car in road . So I called them told them the situation. Approx an hour later I'm finally out of road ran into restaurant expecting cold soggy lunch. . Well that's not what I got : they discarded my order shortly after the call and the hostess was to tell them when I arrived so I could have a hot fresh meal and a added complimentary sweet tea.. really made my day seem better! Real sweethearts working here ! Thank y'all again!!"

"Great service and food! Large portions for great prices!! Salsa and warm refried beans served with chips as a starter. They offer Mexican glass bottled cokes (real cane sugar) or fountain sodas. "The service was great. Our waiter was very friendly, refilled our drinks promptly, never let empty plates sit on the table for long. The food was served real soon after ordering, it was hot very delicious. The prices were reasonable for the amount of food that comes with each order. 4 out of a party of 6 had to get to-go containers because they couldn't eat all of their meals. Very, very good all around. Do highly recommend it if you like authentic Mexican food."

"I feel like I may not have had the best experience. Maybe just a bad day. I’ve heard amazing things from all of my friends.Good things:Salsa and chips were pretty goodI loved the fajitasBad things:We waited more than an hour for hour food.The rice wasn’t very warm, and had a slight off taste.Some of the others at our table had beef dishes, and they said it was tough and grizzly.We got refills once.We did get there at 8:30, and closing is at 10. "Good Mexican food. Chips and mild salsa as soon as you sit down. We always get a small cheese dip with our chips. If im in the mood for Mexican i get the big burrito on the lunch menu. I can only eat half and im a big eater. If i don't want Mexican i always get their Philly cheese steak. I know. A Philly cheese steak at an authentic Mexican restaurant. Its the best cheese steak ive ever had. My wife always gets the chicken fajitas and the only complaint she has ever had is that the chicken portions are small. We are lucky to have los Mariachis here."

"I have been a regular customer for four years. Recently, I noticed that prices have increased while both the service and portion sizes have diminished. Additionally, we experienced excessively long wait times. I sent my wife's meal back because it was supposed to be without lettuce and tomato. We waited for her plate to come back, and of course, my food was cold by the time it arrived. When her meal finally returned, it was wrong again—this time it had chicken instead of beef.
