"I happened to be in town for my birthday and my girlfriend and I were looking for a place to eat. On our walk through the city, we came across this restaurant.This is is quaint place with a cozy vibe and delicious Indian cuisine. The service was fantastic, our server was very kind, sweet, and accommodating. Everything was so delicious, we got the Aloo Gobi, Chicken Biryani, Chicken Vindaloo, and a couple of Samosas with some Masala Tea (Chai). They do their spiciness on a 1-10 scale and we went with 5 for everything. It was a good level without being too overwhelming while still maintaining some level of authenticity. I think I would do a 6 or a 7 next time.We would definitely eat here frequently if we lived in Portland. This is a gem of a restaurant. Great service, reasonably priced (for the type of cuisine and the city), and a solid alternative in a town that favors seafood. If you're into Indian cuisine or just want to try something new, I would definitely recommend giving this restaurant a chance to earn your business. They have such a wide selection (including vegetarian options) that there's bound to be something for most everyone to enjoy."

"Not impressed at all! No air conditioning. One table near the entrance was off limits without any signage. Apparently there was water dripping down off the ceiling on the table. I’ve been to many Indian restaurants throughout the city, country and most of Europe and Asia. This was by far the most disappointing. The food was not authentic, traditional or close to adequate Indian cuisine. The decor and atmosphere was not pleasing, untidy and a tad unclean, to be nice. The server was very nice, but appeared to be very unhappy to be working. Service was very slow and food presentation was amazingly inadequate to put it mildly. I didn’t really want to write this bad review because i thought it was probably just an off night for the business. I tried to do my best to give it a chance. My girlfriend wanted to leave as soon as we arrived. I regret I did not listen to her. Save yourself time and money. This restaurant is an embarrassment to to revitalization going on in the neighborhood. My only hope is that they improve their appearance, service and food quality. I believe they can. I love Indian food, but Tandoor is a place I would not recommend to anyone"

"Not too bad, but not the best? This is my first order from this place, writing as a chef who cares about the authentic cuisines and love Indian food from and regions As soon as I ordered my food from DoorDash around 10:30 pm (because I was so hungry and wanted to get the fastest delivery, Punjab Palace was the first option) I wanted to check the reviews and was about to cancel my order. How ever I wanted to give it a chance. I ordered lamb biryani and it was literally like lamb stew mixed with white rice . No problem , sometimes we have to use some methods to make it work , however there was almost raw onions , not cooked well. The lamb was cooked tender. Again, not too bad, with a little bit more care it would be better I believe. It is so easy to complain about the food that we are ordering, without knowing how it is hard to keep the consistency of the flavor. The food needs a little more work for little details, all over I enjoyed my late night dinner. Lastly , the yogurt sauce was very delicious, most likely the yogurt was house made that took my attention. I don?t even know where the restaurant is, know no body from there , how ever I know they are cooking with good intention."

Even though I'm visiting Jackson's family, I don't mind the 20-minute drive to Flowood because the Indian food is absolutely delicious and reasonably priced. "The food was fantastic! The Veggie Samosa was delicious with warm flavors, and while it didn't come with sauces, I ordered a large portion of onion chutney that was delightful. The Chicken Tikka Masala was equally impressive, featuring a thick tomato-based sauce with a hint of spice and generous chunks of tender white meat. The Onion Naan was wonderfully spiced and complemented the meal perfectly. I’m definitely looking forward to trying more dishes in the future!"

"I ordered the chicken platter and immediately experienced a blissful delight with my first bite. The variety of vegetables and sauces offers plenty of customization options, which is excellent for someone like me who has several dietary restrictions. Each bite is packed with flavor, and the portions are HUGE! Being on the smaller side, I was able to have the platter for two meals at a very reasonable price. Even the fries, which might seem like a simple side compared to the rest of the menu, were wonderfully crispy. They were so delicious that I enjoyed them without needing any sauce! NY Gyro has quickly become a local favorite. Their prices are fair, the portions are generous, and the flavors are incredible—I can't get enough of that green sauce! A huge thank you to the staff for creating such amazing food!"

"I went to the Silver Spoon with coworkers for a birthday lunch. It was my first visit. The location is a little set back from the main road so I never knew it was there. The experience and the food were great. The service was great! The cashier greeted us as we came in and took our orders and we pay in advance. I had the meatloaf special with green beans and purple hull beans. The food was delivered very quickly, within 10 minutes of sitting down. And it tasted great!!! So, service, food, and atmosphere get 5 stars from me."

"I’m thrilled to have discovered Cusbah restaurant! They refer to themselves as a “South Asian spice bar,” and they certainly live up to that title. The Indian and Pakistani dishes we tried were all fantastic, not to mention the attentive service we received. I started with a cocktail called Jasmine, which was made with Smirnoff wild honey vodka, grapefruit shrub, and fresh lemon juice—it was very refreshing. For my main course, I enjoyed the lamb rogan josh and baingan bharta (grilled, mashed eggplant) served with basmati rice. My cousin ordered the samosas and saag, and everything was simply delicious! To finish off our meal, we had dessert: a delightful rice pudding topped with almonds, cashews, and pistachios."

"Glad we found this place with amazing Indian food since we are far from Devon. This is Indian style meat dishes much different from Pakistani dishes. The dishes we tried were made to perfection! The chicken tikka was fully seeped through with the marinate and super well made crisp on the outside and so tender on the inside. Mind you the tikka is super spicy so don’t try that if you can’t handle it, however it is worth every bite, it’s just right spice for tikka, imo. The Karahi chicken was superb, probably THE single best I’ve tried around Chicago! It has plenty of heat spice and flavor gravy with tomatoes and onions and super tender juicy chicken chunks or meat not only bones as most other places have, also the style as I mentioned is Indian so taste wise is much different than Pakistani Karahi. Normally Karahi is not my favorite dish but omg this Karahi was totally overwhelmingly delicious! The dal palak was the bomb! So well flavored perfect texture and dal-palak ratio provided a pallets blend between tikka and Karahi bites. The parata is perfectly made. Parata is not my bread go to, I normally prefer nan but this parata was amazing large foldable flaky non-oily crispy tender not chewy super delicious to taste! The raita was delicious and provided a chill between spice bites, it was not watery it was thick creamy and had all the ingredients and was not spicy, very tasty I ate 2 cups : . Lamb seekh kebab was dry not too spicy. It was good but it’s not my thing and not the best item here. We are far from Devon so happy we found this place, will be back to try all the other items. Wish they had biryani too! But the basmati rice was nicely done flaky and delicious. The seating is casual but neat, service was great and very fast. Highly recommend the tikka and Karahi."

"I have been going to Indian Oven for years, they have wonderful food and top-notch service. The buffet is reasonably priced at $9.95 all-you-can-eat; great basmati rice and naan and I specially love the dalmahkni, which is a bean Curry dish; also the rice pudding is wonderful. I would highly recommend this place if you like Indian food; if you wanted to experiment I think the buy to try different things."

"We have been frequenting this restaurant for 8 years, visiting every week. Our favorites from the kitchen are the samosas and khasta kachori chaat, as well as a variety of other well-known snacks like chhalian. The food from the kitchen is almost always delicious, with only a few times where it was a bit stale, but over 8 years this is a testament to the quality. They offer a wide range of Indian and Pakistani items, making it a well-rounded establishment. In addition to snacks, we also purchase chips, cookies, lentils, rice, and frozen foods from them. While the Mithai could use some improvement, the chaat and samosas are delicious. Our family loves dining here, and they even send us a reminder on Thursdays to come in for samosas and chaat!"
